1 for 2

This is a meal shared by two persons. I don't remember the price. It is a bowl of chinese-style curry chicken. When I say chinese-style, I mean that the curry is not that spicy and leans more towards creamy due to the coconut milk used. The red oil is all looks and no substance for people who like their curry to be super spicy. As I can't take very spicy food, I love this kind of curry minus the red oil.

  1. That curry looks really really good - I like it lemak like that, we cook it this way ourselves. My West Malaysian Malay friends asked why my curry was not the same, so thick the gravy...but they loved it. Too bad that was not spicy - I would love it to be spicy.

  2. Love that bowl of curry.. Especially with a lot of gravy.. I dont mind lemak or no lemak, just give me a lot of gravy.. I heard we can replace santan with coffeemate for a healthier option..

  3. I love curry, both lemak and non-lemak types. If I see too much oil, I will use a spoon to skim off the oil from the top...lol.

    1. They really do give curry for those packs? I thought only red eggs, angku kuihs and maybe chicken if you buy those packs from ayamas.

    2. Sometimes they do. Maybe even more so in Penang. I've got very many packs with curry chicken from colleagues..

    3. I wonder if the curry chicken for the full moon were homecooked or storebought.

  10. If looks good. I like it. Chinese, Malay, Indian, spicy or creamy. I just had a curry mix rice yesterday for breakfast. Otherwise I would be drooling over yours and crave for it. I always have soft sot for curries. Will blog about my curry mix rice soon
