This is a typical sized rice bowl where we eat rice from. What is in it?
A mini pineapple. Very sweet, almost like being fermented into wine. I am not sure what variety of pineapple this is. Never seen it being sold in supermarket. I even ate the core but not the stem of course.
We were eating in a coffee shop when a girl came around selling these in a packet of 3s for MYR10. I was curious so I bought a pack to try.
Hahaha! This is real cute, Mun. I've never seen it before. xoxo
ReplyDeleteNow you have but not in real life. :)
DeleteMun, I have seen these in the pasar malam. I heard they were very sweet. I have not eaten any before...maybe will try next time I go pasar malam.
ReplyDeleteHow do they sell it? With the skin on or peeled like this?
Deleteyeah, that's cute!! and i must say i am rather smart because i could guess it's pineapple by just looking at the first photo.. so, one mouth makan one?? and how do they taste?? extra sweet??
ReplyDeleteI know you are smart! Very sweet. It may be small but still need many bites to clear it.
DeleteReally very cute. I'd love to have this too. Have never seen such cute little thing before.
ReplyDeleteMaybe some morning market fruit stalls do sell them with skin intact.
DeleteSo cute indeed! So small. If like fermented into wine, it may be over-ripe.
ReplyDeleteIt does not look over ripe but taste a bit like it.
DeleteGreat snack! I don't like them though when they're too ripe.
ReplyDeleteThis does not look too ripe. I have seen too ripe pineapples that look bruised.
DeleteThe pineapple looks really sweet.. Like you said, very cute too.. I can guess it's a pineapple from the first picture.. Sweet yellow juicy little pineapple..
ReplyDeleteYou are as smart as SK! Very good! :)
DeleteThis is Thailand pineapple, my mom also buy some for me on Monday
ReplyDeleteWith skin still on or peeled like this?
DeleteNot sure, when my mom bought it was as shown as like your third picture! =]
DeleteAh, so it means it was peeled. Thanks for replying. :)
DeleteI've not seen or eaten it before...everything mini is always nice! ;)
ReplyDeleteMost are. :)
DeleteCute indeed. A new species of pineapples. ;)
ReplyDeleteNot sure new or has been around for quite some time.
DeleteI suppose 小影 is right, they're probably a Thai species of pineapple. I have seen this quite a few times in Penang. But I have never tried them before, just didn't feel like buying..
ReplyDeleteDid they sell it like this? All peeled?
DeleteGosh! I have never seen such cute tiny pineapples! If I see any, I will surely buy to try.
ReplyDeleteReally cute! That's why I could not resist also! :D
DeleteGreat post!!!kiss
ReplyDeletethanks!
DeleteSo cute! Like a lollypop! =D
