Ampang Point

Beef glass noodle (tung hoon) - MYR13.50 - this price includes a cup of hot tea. The receipt adds another 6% to this price and labelled it as service charge.

Beef noodle - same price as the above.

Dumpling noodle - same price too but with quite small dumplings so I think the beef noodle is better value for money.

There were many people eating here and this small eatery has been in business for more than 10 years so business must be good.

  1. Stayed at the hotel next door a few times, De Palma?...and loved the beef noodles there. At that time, sure did not look like this, dunno if it's the same stall/shop or not. Last time no green veg inside, but got white radish. VERY nice!

  3. Heh, I pass by this shop quite a lot when I used to make my way to the top floor and back down, but never eaten here before. But I always pass by on weekdays, non meal hours, so I never knew they do good business.

    2. Used to be Brewball Pool Club. Pool as in 9-ball pool, not swimming pool. I used to be pretty good at it.

    1. I was sitting in their shop and took the photo of their kitchen. Guess that's why you don't remember it looking like their kitchen.

  5. There always seem to be people here when I walk past. Do you think that is a good price for the soup?

    1. Since the price includes a free hot tea drink, I guess it is ok. Is Ampang Point your regular haunt?

  11. I love tung hoon, but it's the first time I'm seeing it served with beef. In SG, we only get tung hoon at those stalls selling fish ball noodles.

    1. I think this may be the only eatery here in KL serving tung hoon with beef (soup).

  12. Ah looks good. Tung hoon soups always looks deceptively empty coz noodles are all at the bottom.
