Best Vadai SS15

Sunday 5.dec.21 is kid 1's day so we only bought food for ourselves. Eversince I ate the vadai in the tea set, I have been thinking of eating the other type of vadai so I searched online for a place to buy and bought a lot to share with my friend.

11.32 am - bought the above cny snacks from a stall at Sepetang coffee shop. MYR 25 nett for the pineapple tarts and MYR 20 for the cookies. I ate a lot of this cookies when I was young so bought them to reminisce about them. The pineapple tarts have sourish fillings and no butter taste which he likes so they are for him to eat.

11.34 am - brought my own container to buy 8 dishes with no rice and it only costs MYR 12 nett from the economy rice stall in Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop. Both of us ate the above dishes with Sepetang nasi lemak and kept the remaining portion for the next day. The 8 dishes are:

1. Egg tofu
2. Soy knot
3. Petai mince pork
4. Sweet sauce brinjal
5. Bitter gourd
6. Potato wedges
7. 4 angled beans
8. Yin choy aka amaranth greens

2.03 pm - I bought 5 types of savoury snacks and 2 types of sweet snacks from this Best Vadai SS15 estore I found in the Foodpanda app. This stall is located in a shop called Rojak SS15 Subang Jaya so it is out of Foodpanda delivery area to my place. The workaround is to place a pickup order and arrange for Lalamove delivery service to pickup the order and send it to my place.

I was too busy eating and packing up the snacks to pass to my friends that I didn't take any photos of the individual snacks close up.

The address of Rojak SS15 shop is:
W-10-00 Business Park Subang Square West Wing Jalan SS15/4G, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor.

I bought all the items on the estore menu except for one item. I didn't buy the deep frird onions although it is indicated as a popular item. Of the 5 pieces, I took 2 pieces and gave 3 pieces to my friend. After using jomtapau promo code, the total cost is MYR 19 nett.

Mon 6.dec.21 9.15 am - cross section of the masala vadai. Can taste the fennel, cumin spices in it, so tasty! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Mon 6.dec.21 9.16 am - cross section of the deep fried green mung beans aka kacang hijau ball. It is sweet. I prefer eating green mung beans tong sui dessert sweet soup than this deep fried ball.

The kacang hijau aka green mung beans are a sweet dessert of deep fried green mung beans balls. From the above list, I like the taste of ulunthu vadai best and its outer crispy layer with soft insides. I didn't buy bawang goreng aka deep fried onion.

My friend likes the ubi kayu balls. I prefer the samosa to the curry puffs. The steamed peas are a bit salty and not too soft. A good snack.

  4. I love vadai. Missing vadai so much. I think CNY cookies will be more expensive especially when price of oil, eggs, and etc have increased so much.

    1. Any good vadai shop in Ipoh? Cny is once a year so ok la. Buy a few containers to eat or I think you will bake your own cookies since you are good in baking and cooking. I guess you will be making your own bakwa for cny.
