Price increase

On Thursday 9.jun.22, went to Swee Hing and Kopitiam 126 to buy food for ourselves and the Elderlies.

*** Kopitiam 126 Sri Petaling ***

1.07 pm - since there is remaining rice from Tuesday soup stall, just bought vege and eggs without rice at 10 am for MYR 9 nett:
1. Okra
2. Two braised eggs
3. Choy poh preserved vege omelette
4. Long bean
5. Bitter Gourd
The above dishes are too flavourful for me so will limit to buying them at most once a week.

At the nearby kk mart, bought a loaf of gardenia wholemeal bread at MYR 3.60 and a big pack of short slim Joss sticks at MYR 16.50 nett. Both items are for the Elderlies.

*** Swee Hing coffee shop ***

Planned to buy pan Mee for the Elderlies but pan Mee stall is off for just this day so bought ccf instead for a total of MYR 12 for two packs. There were no ytf items so couldn't buy brinjals ytf and bittergourd ytf:
1. 1 piece of ccf, 1 bean curd sheet with a thin layer of fish paste fillings and 1 taopok with fish paste fillings for the Elderlies
2. Exactly as above with 2 deep fried fish balls, the type that is sold as HK fish balls curry with a strong fishy taste which he likes since it reminds him of childhood times.

Bought 1 pack of hot hainan char drink which he says taste more like cham drink at MYR 3.20 nett and 3 packs of pork noodles soup: 2 packs of pork mihun: 1 pack is for the Elderlies; and 1 pack of pork yimi for his breakfast the next day. The price is MYR 8 nett for one pack so total for 3 packs is MYR 24 nett.

11.07 am - bought the above snacks: 2 siew baos, one malaiko and one seri muka;  because cannot resist nyonya kuih. One pack of kuih is now MYR 2.50 from MYR 2.30 previously. The siew Bao costs MYR 2.30 each. I prefer seri muka to kuih talam although they are mostly similar.

This is a stall in swee hing. Wonder whether the Elderlies would like to eat Kampar fish ball noodle cos they did mention they rather eat beef balls than fish balls.

*** Pick up Brinjals ytf ***

Since there are no brinjal ytfs from the ccf stall in Swee Hing, I searched for places to buy them and decided to order pickup via Foodpanda from Dim Sum house.

Looks good. The fish paste fillings inside are the smooth type without any pork meat. 6 ytfs is about MYR 2 each as the total price is MYR 11.73 nett. The size is a bit smaller than those ytf pieces sold at Lucky Alley coffee shop. Gave 1 each to the Elderlies to go with the ccf.

  1. My mum likes the fish paste filings from the ytf at Dim Sum house. We only ordered the bitter guard ytf last time.

  2. Good use of your divided tray. Though you do have to decide which compartment to put things... notice the two braised eggs are in their own!

    2. Ah ok. Thought 2 eggs won't fit into one compartment.

    3. If squeeze a bit, can fit two eggs in one compartment.
