On Friday 17.jun.22, we went to some stalls located under a roadside shed called Restoran Mountain Hill. It is diagonally opposite the
Lo Faro Caffe that NuxV recommended the grilled chicken chop in her post here.
The address of Mountain Hill roadside shed is:
Taman Serangkai, 58200 Kuala Lumpur
Location of Restoran Mountain Hill
Food bought:
10.14 am - steamed village chicken rice with liver, gizzard, char siew and siew yuk MYR 16 nett. The chicken rice has a very aromatic appetising oil smell. We shared this rice for brunch.
11.19 am - half eaten ckt with kway teow mix yellow noodles. It is not oily so I like it but he says the beansprouts are too soft due to them being cooked for too long.
2.06 pm - shared pork mihun MYR 8 with innards. The soup is a light pork broth with fried garlics and shallots. We kept the 3jc soup mihun MYR 8 from the same stall for the next day's breakfast.
6.10 pm - fish paste wantons, fish balls and fish cake mihun for dinner. I ate a bit to get the taste. The soup has a bit of preserved tong choy taste. Can't remember how much it costs. Should be around MYR 8 I believe.
The chicken rice is one person portion?? A lot of meat.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken rice is for one person with just the chicken meat and rice but I added siew yuk, char siew, gizzards and liver to it. Lolx!
DeleteSeems a variety of food...chicken rice, ckt, noodles...like a kopitiam.
ReplyDeleteThere are more stalls that I didn't mention here. You are right, that mountain Hill shed is somewhat like a coffee shop except that it is not a proper building.
DeleteThe chicken rice is so colourful. I thought it was some salad at first. So it's actually a meat salad!
ReplyDeleteIt is a salad that you will like! 😂
DeleteHaha oh yes!
