On Sunday 15.aug.21, Sepetang Coffee Shop is still closed. Hope everyone there is ok. Don't know why they are closed because they didn't stick a notice on the shutters of the shop. Meanwhile Tuck Tuck Tei has resumed business after being closed a few weeks ago.

I ordered food from After White Coffee cafe again because I wanted to try their mutton curry.
3.24 pm - bite size chicken nasi lemak. He selected salted egg yolk gravy instead of satay peanut gravy to go with the chicken but after tasting it, he said he can taste butter in the salted egg yolk gravy so he doesn't want to eat it and I ate all the gravy by dipping bread into it because the bite size chicken meat is flavourful so it doesn't need any gravy.12.37 noon - this mutton curry tastes nice, like beef rendang. Portion is right for me to eat for one week. I selected plain rice to go with it but didn't expect to get one hard boiled egg too. I ate the plain rice over a few days.
3.20 pm - ate half a roll to try it. The coffee taste helps to cover the taste of the cream in the middle so he confirms that he is ok to eat them.
We also bought two different types of coffee drink. The kopi kaw kaw is thick and rich with a slight bitter taste. The white coffee has a bit of alcohol taste in it.
Fri 13.aug.21 3 pm - added one egg, vege and the remaining Kam Heong gravy to the remaining rice from Thursday's braised pork ribs rice before stir frying the rice. Ate this fried rice with the remaining bite size chicken meat.

1.22 pm - nasi lemak chicken rendang and iced nescafe coffee drink from 10 Kopitiam Bukit Jalil shared by two pax for lunch. A decent meal.
alot of coffee shops closed in SP too. The usual ones which i tapao also closed for few weeks already. I believed it is the SOP when staff contracted COVID. Same goes for the morning market here, it was just recently opened after closed for 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteQuite frightening that so many of the coffee shops that we frequent have staff who got infected. Really pray that the infected staff are ok.
DeleteThe 2 stalls has stopped selling mutton curry since MCO started. I don't know why, probably there is less customers now. I miss eating mutton curry and chicken rendang.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right that there are less customers buying takeaways so better not sell so much variety to prevent having to keep the dishes for many days.
DeleteNasi lemak looks good with the dry chicken pieces and sauce on the side.
ReplyDeleteHeh when I cook up leftover food I put everything in too. Recently dumped in hoisin sauce which made a weird fried rice.
Ya the price is ok too so will order again because the chicken bites are very convenient to eat and I like the paper packaging. Hoisin sauce in fried rice sounds ok. Anything goes for fried rice, cannot go wrong. Heh!
