Bye Kim Lian Kee

Back in June 2015, Kim Lian Kee eatery, the famous Hokkien Mee kl style opened for business in the Gardens Mall. On 22 Nov 2020 Sunday, I noticed that it has closed and going to be replaced by Mitsuyado SeiMen (the restaurant serving Tsukemen in the Starling Mall).

The location where Kim Lian Kee eatery used to be, next to Canton-i, now all boarded up with ongoing renovation for Mitsuyado SeiMen. Wonder when it will be opened.

  4. So sad to see so many eateries closing down, meaning more people will be out of job. Pork yee mee looks nice. Hmmm maybe tomorrow I will order pork yee mee.

  5. Nowadays it is not surprising that eateries esp in the malls are closing down... high rent and low spending power can lead to closing down.

  6. I really salute your postings that always included new and bye-bye restaurants in town! You are like a CNN newscaster for eateries. Thank you!

  7. Many restaurants have closed down due to Covid. Bad times for many people. But it's a good thing for MV there's another outlet opening in its place. I was at Centrepoint and there were so many shops totally boarded up.

    1. I think malls should lower rental and rich people like shop landlords earn lesser for other people to open shops and earn la.
