2019 Yee Sang no. 4

Jelly Fish Yee Sang at MYR 86++ per portion (6% SST and 5% service charge = MYR 95.46 nett).

After tossing it.

Other dishes: Ginger steamed Tilapia 1kg (MYR 44.40 nett), Yau Mak vegetables Romaine lettuce) lightly stir fried with garlic (MYR 27.75 nett), Lemon Chicken (half portion) at MYR 31.08 nett, sweet sour pork (MYR 33.30 nett). The portion of each dish is quite big.

Claypot Seafood Tofu at MYR 31.08 nett.

Deep fried squid at MYR 36.63 nett.

Total bill is MYR 337.44 nett for 10 pax which is fine because the portion of each dish is big and taste is quite good. I was not thirsty afterwards so no or not much MSG detected. This is our start work (hoi kong) meal paid from our own pockets for ourselves for this new oink oink year!

  1. Can't believe that the yee sang is actually more expensive than the fish...

    1. Because it is only once a year, then must make the most profit from it. Just like mooncakes, very expensive.

  2. I think for the coming years, I should cut down on eating buffet and go for more quality ala carte meals like yours which is more worth it.

    1. If the buffet is not that expensive but with a good spread like the one I went to in Sunway hotel, then can consider.

  7. Yee Sang and deep fried squid are my favourites! The yee sang price is almost the same as those selling in Ipoh's restaurants.

  9. Just realised there is such a big profit for yee sang! I normally have that as part of XX courses or don't get the breakdown of the bill.

    Food looks good.
