WG After Lunch Dessert

Charcoal waffle (MYR 22 nett) sprinkled with roasted walnut, pieces of mochi covered by kinako powder and a scoop of oolong ice cream. The black sugar syrup (kuromitsu) was served separately in a mini syrup pitcher.

We did not drizzle the black sugar syrup over the waffle as it was sweet enough for us. I did not like the texture of this mochi - to me, it is a bit rubbery - soft rubbery. I have eaten mochi in Japan and the texture is not like this, it is soft and a bit chewy, not rubbery at all. I can taste the Oolong taste in the ice cream and it is not very sweet so the ice cream is ok.

Four of us shared this waffle so after applying Upocket apps 18% discount, each of us need to pay MYR 4.50 nett only.

My friend's flat white at MYR 12 nett.

Due to the 18% discount, the total bill is MYR 44.30 nett.

They sell slices of cakes too.

Order and pay at the counter.

This cafe and dessert bar is located on the same row as Ribs King, Paramount Garden, PJ.

    1. I guess due to the colour of the waffle they call it panda.

  3. Whenever they say it is Charcoal Bread, Buns and Waffle, I often wondered whether they added so much real charcoal to make it so black. It doesn't taste anything like charcoal.

I love to eat waffles when it is still freshly toasted crispy & hot. Yums!

  4. I seldom take dessert. Usually full after first course.

But this charcoal waffle was enticing. I haven't tasted charcoal waffle yet. Bet it was good with Ice cream on top.

    1. I can say that it tastes good but the charcoal does not change the taste of the waffle because it tastes like the other waffles I have tasted too. No strong distinctive taste.
