Ishikari Nabe

Ishikari Nabe - MYR15.80 - Deep Fried Salmon and vegetables in Miso Broth

I will always eat Tamago Sushi - MYR1.80 per plate because I like to eat eggs.

I will also order these at Sushi Zanmai everytime as they are my favourite - Avocado sushi (MYR2.80 for two), Aburi Salmon Sushi (MYR4.80 for two), Salmon Belly Sushi (MYR4.80 for two).

  1. Huh.. I don't think I have ever seen salmon noodle soup in Japanese restaurants. Interesting.. Not that I would rush to order it, not a fan of cooked salmon ;)

  5. so you went to Sushi Zanmai?? or you just mentioned that in your post as a comparison??

sorry ah but I always prefer Sushi Zanmai's sister which is Pasta Zanmai, and I think they also have another sister called Osen Zanmai but that I have not been to yet before..

I've been to Sushi Zanmai once and because I don't quite fancy sushi, seeing so many people flock to queue up to enter, and the food they offer don't really suit my taste.. so that once try (when there was no people queuing) was the last time for me, haha!!

I'm more into Pasta Zanmai's fusion pasta and pizza, and my favorite will be their hotate pizza and garlic fried rice with karaage.. :)

    1. I find mentaiko too salty for my liking.

    2. I knew that would have been the reason why you don't like mentaiko. It's a little on the salty side but I'm willing to overlook it as I love mentaiko so much!!

  9. Though I love eggs, somehow I don't like tamago. Any sushi or maki with avocado, I like!

    1. How weird? Maybe you did not eat a tasty one. Just right ripe ones taste creamy and rich. Unripe ones taste horrible.

  12. We love Sushi Zanmai too! The one that we go to at Gardens is perpetually full. We have to reach there by 11am in order to get a place without queuing up.
