Today is Tue 15.jul.21 Day 1 of 14 again. It feels shorter to reset back to 1 to count as 2x14 rather than one lump of 28.
Yesterday we stayed home all day and received 2 deliveries: one from JT Express with goods for him and her, ordered separately but ended up both packages being delivered by the same person. Another is grab express picked up food to be delivered here for MYR 13 and voluntary gratitude MYR 10 nett.
1 pm Hire Katsu with rice. Hire Katsu means pork fillet and is made with a lean pork tenderloin. Both of us shared this one box. This hire Katsu is tender but not that soft so it is absolutely delicious!😋 Perhaps it is because I didn't eat Hire Katsu for a long time.
The hire Katsu set includes finely julienned raw cabbage and miso soup (not in this photo).

Grab express rider took this photo when he reached the pick up place. Hopefully more people will order food to be picked up since the shop remains open during this no dine in period.
The two sets of Hire Katsu with Miso soup and two sauces: sesame mayo dip for the raw cabbage and Katsu sauce. We shared a set for dinner at 4.40 pm.
The price is MYR 33.80 nett excluding delivery fees cos customers need to arrange their own pick up either using Lalamove or grab express.

ReplyDeleteI use grab express. I don't think you would want to pay because it is MYR 13 n I gave MYR 10 tips but add together is still cheaper than buying two sets. So I just pay to support eateries and also support grab riders la. In this time, being blessed must share with others a bit.
DeleteI didn't compare Lalamove and grab express but I believe Lalamove price is a bit better than grab express but grab express I use many times already, always got riders or cars so is very good.

DeleteYa cos u can drive easily within 10 km and outside 10 km just wait till it is lifted then only you drive there if you really want to. But you also seldom go Lot 10 I believe.

ReplyDeleteNow in pandemic using own containers is a risk to sellers because the customers may be asymptomatic and the own containers may be fomite. A fomite or fomes is any inanimate object that, when contaminated with or exposed to infectious agents (such as pathogenic bacteria, viruses or fungi), can transfer disease to a new host. So if the customers is asymptomatic then the customers own containers may passed covid to the sellers so in pandemic, it is not advisable to use own containers to protect the sellers though your intentions may be good.
DeleteFurthermore if all people has your thinking and don't buy from them during this lock down period, can they survive to serve you all later? So support eateries during this lockdown so that they can survive.
DeleteThe seller can opt for paper packaging (paper box or wrapper) to replace the plastic if possible. I'm still supportive over the eateries by ordering delivery (which uses minimal plastic container, and mostly paper packaging or biodegradable plastic). Yea, it's true that any object can transfer disease/infectious agents, hence need to be vigilant at all times.
DeleteBut some food the paper packaging is not suitable. Anyway before ordering from an eatery, it is not possible to ask them excuse me, u use what packaging ah, before ordering. Just save up the plastic containers to reuse la instead of throwing them away. Good to support eateries, especially your favourite ones. 👍
DeleteYea...some food are best eaten fresh or when served on the spot...thus i prefer dine in for this one. Jst gotta wait till it is safe to do so. I have too many containers accumulated over the years and try to avoid receiving new ones.😅

True, must support businesses while we can because although businesses big bosses may survive, their staff needs to work to support themselves so the businesses must operate. True again that buy 1 free 1 is a good deal.
