WG Salmon Don

A weekday lunch before 1 Sep 2018.

We returned to Kiku Zakura, Midvalley Mall for their Salmon Teriyaki Bento Set Lunch at MYR 28.60 nett but were told that it was not available on Fridays when the banner they put outside their restaurant clearly states that set lunch is available during weekdays.  As my friend was hungry, there was no point arguing with the staff over this point so I ordered the salmon don instead at MYR 29+ (MYR 31.90 nett) from the ala carte menu which has a slightly bigger slice of salmon as compared to the salmon bento set  lunch.

Total bill for 2 pax at MYR 78.10 nett. I don't think I will eat at this eatery again based on this incident.

    That's quite cheap for that big slab of salmon.

      It does look big in the photo does not it? but it is not that big and it is somewhat thinner than expected.

      The waiter just said that it is Friday so the bento set is not available. Maybe they think this is a state where Friday is weekend.

    Sometimes these banners can be very misleading. Don't know whether it is intentional or not. At least they could have made some amendments on the banner.

      They could have just kept the banner away on Friday if it is not applicable.

    Ya no point arguing with staff also. At least you knew about it before going in, so that lunch was an informed choice.

      No, we did not know about it before going in. We were only informed after we sat down and asked for the bento set lunch. we could have walked out like I said but my friend was very hungry so we just ordered those ala carte food items.
