GS Revisit for Discount

We went back to Mak's Chee for more tasty dishes.

This is the only rice dish available at Mak's Chee restaurant for a limited period so we ordered it to try at MYR 12.90+ (10% service charge = MYR 14.19 nett). They provided black soy sauce served separately in a small container and after tasting it, my friend says that the quality is very good. A satisfying rice dish.

We ordered both the Hot Champion Milk Tea (MYR 5.39 nett) and Champion Milk Tea on a bed of ice (MYR 8.69 nett). I prefer the hot version because the taste is thicker and it is smoother though I am sure they are both the same but the coldness affected my taste bud.

This time I ordered beef brisket with sui gao dumplings with thin noodles (dry, small portion) at MYR 16.39 nett but the sui gao could not be seen.

Found the sui gao dumplings under the noodles and there are two of them. The beef brisket just melts in my mouth and is so tasty.

A bowl of broad noodles with beef brisket and tendons (soup, small portion) at MYR 15.29 nett for my friend. The rest of the dishes we ordered look the same as before so I did not take photos of them. They taste just as good.

Thanks to the 15% store opening discount, the bill is only MYR 94.65 nett for 6 dishes and 2 drinks making it an average of MYR 11.83 per item. After this 2nd visit, I have decided that this will be my regular go-to-eatery for beef brisket and tendon.

  2. What rice is that? Luncheon meat double egg? Love those egg yolks. I wonder what luncheon meat they use. Some brands are very expensive.

  8. I must try this bowl of broad noodles with beef brisket and tendons. It looks like a similar Thai dish.

I read up about Mak Chee's place of origin in Guangzhou where the finest noodles are well known. I will plan to explore the food in Guangzhou someday.
