Oiso

This is another restaurant that has a queue during lunch time so we tried it too.

My set lunch Bul go gi - MYR20.90+ 6% GST, no service charge = MYR22.15 - my most expensive lunch during work days at this location. Only three refillable Banchan (side dishes) - gobo (braised burdock root), kimchi and deep fried anchovies. I ate the kelp/seaweed in the soup but did not drink the soup and I was so very full. Too full so I won't be eating here again because the food is too much for me. There were many slices of beef and as expected the gravy was on the sweet side so the taste was ok for me.

I selected this set because I did not want a spicy main dish as the kimchi will be spicy. There are around 30 set meals to choose from.

To beat the crowd, we were there early at 11.30am so there were plenty of seats available.

  1. The bulgogi looks very good. Serving looks huge, enough for two, at least...or three.

  2. Yup, portion looks huge, especially the beef.. Worth the money la.. As for the sides, not a big fan, but I will have the kiasu feeling, if I don't refill, then macam rugi, hehehee, but it has to depend on the types too.. If it has eggs, potato salad and kimchi, maybe I'll keep refilling, hahahaha..

  3. doesn't ring a bell when I just see the name but when I see the last photo with its logo, ah yes, I've seen its other outlets somewhere else.. I think the price is quite average or standard for these kinds of eateries huh?? but I definitely will be able to finish everything la, that is not a lot for me, hehe!! :p

    1. You are right. They have a few branches. You are right again. The prices in Korean restaurants are in this range.

  4. Good to see that they've not raised their prices (it was RM18.90 when I had other sets last year but the beef bulgogi set was still RM19.90), also with 3 side dishes but no fresh fruit.
