Hi Mun, this certainly doesn't look like a delicious Mee Jawa. There is hardly any ingredients, except for the few pieces of tofu and a hard boiled egg. And the colour doesn't look attractive too. It is not easy to get a good, tasty Mee Jawa these days.
Err.. is this a fine dining style mee jawa? I actually thought it was not messy enough and the ingredients are all segregated properly. The jawa mee that I had are always way messier than this. The problem for me is the "liew"s, or the lack of it...
You are so funny. Even a lousy food would be posted here! Lol I agree that even the colour looks sad and wrong. I am a fan of Mee Jawa and it is not easy to find good ones in KL.
AW! you should have mentioned the place who served you that to warn your readers, watcha think about that? for me it's enticing, but you mentioned that it's not then i'll cancel my enticement.

ReplyDeleteThe colour is really out for me.
Deleteso i guess I better not judge the food by how it looks.. It looks fine to me actually but as you said, it doesn't taste that good...
ReplyDeleteIt is too watery and the colour is wrong.
DeleteIt looks ok to me, I see egg and tofu, maybe I don't see meat like chicken slices or fish cakes..
ReplyDeleteToo watery. No fried potatoes.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely not fine dining. One of those chained new style coffee shop.
Deletemany times we can't judge by the look.. but if it looks bad and tastes bad, then it is really bad, haha!!
ReplyDeleteBad it is.
DeleteIt doesn't look messy to me...just not enough "liew". It needs some fritters, potatoes, fried shallots and freshly cut chillies!
ReplyDeleteFritters and potatoes are a must and they are missing.
DeleteIt looks fine to me! I've seen worse...a lot worse.
ReplyDeleteIt's not mee jawa to me.
Deleteit looks fine to me too....but I guess it doesn't taste so well which spoilt the 'image'?

Hahahahaha. Just to remind me not to go there again.

ReplyDeleteNo. I don't want to name that place because what is not tasty to me could be tasty to someone else.
DeleteJust brought my cousin for a mee jawa breakfast this morning. Lol.
ReplyDeletePresentation-wise, yours looked good but look could be misleading.
Btw, I have an award and tag for you in my post today.
True. Looks could be misleading. Thank you for the award and tag but I have a no award policy jusr like Small Kucing.
DeleteLooks fine especially with that pile of sambal!
