Kow Po

A must try ice cream in Bentong I read so we went there.

Ordered 4 glasses of ice cream and ice - MYR4.50 - we got peanut ice cream, coconut ice cream, corn ice cream and banana ice cream.

Have to look at the meenu on the wall

Ice cream in containers

Plenty of seats because many prefer to sit outside

Everyone surrounds the ice cream container to choose their ice cream

    I just had ice kachang that day, have you heard of peanut ice kachang before, I just saw that day, now I am eyeing on durian ice kachang

      I think peanut ice kacang is quite common unless you are talking about peanut butter ice kacang.

    Looks good...and cheap too!!! Not like what you get at those classy cafes, anytime over RM10...and may not be nice even. Snob appeal only, trendy to be trendy. I sure would not bother going for those.

    Ooohh I saw this shop before, from the tv, from the makan show Best In The World.. Go Bentong must eat these ice cream, nice leh..

    I think I know this place!

    I'm not sure if it's the same one or not but we went here on the way to Tambun (the one in Ipoh, not Penang).

    Is it the same on that has kopi peng flavored ice cream and they make it daily themselves? I thought I wrote about it but can't find it so I must have not. Haha.

    The ice cream itself got any special, like made with fresh ingredients or what? Or is it the way they serve it with cendol and red beans that makes them special?

    It looks like a hybrid of cendol mixed with ice kacang and topped with a dollop of ice cream! :D

    the shop name is so unique - Kow Po? I wonder what does it mean....it sounds more like some Chinese kopitiam (yea, in fact it is a coffeeshop), but with yummy desserts too...haha!

      Kow Po means aunty, just like Kow Foo means mother's younger brothers.

    Looks something like ice kacang with ice cream. These are so tempting me because of the hot, hot weather. Nice to have a bowl of the ice creams to chill down.
