looks quite authentic I would say.. the pork knuckle rice, haha, khao kha moo that is!! but looks like the rice is something multi-grain instead of plain white?? ah, I like this, more healthy huh?? but I will ask for all lean meat (mai ao nang) and also get rid of all the Chinese parsley, hehe!! love the Thai iced tea (cha yen) and the grills too, yummy!! :)
I saw someone blogged about pork knuckle rice with egg before too.. Yep, and it's Thai food.. Oh, and you opt for the multi-grain rice, very healthy indeed..
oh that Pork knuckle rice reminds me of our Paksiw ng Lechon, it's a sweet and tangy pork stew made with chopped lechon (roasted pig), vinegar, sugar and liver sauce Thanks for visiting my site by the way ^_^
I still frequent to this shop sometimes to get a Thai fix. Their price is not cheap and I would settle for Black Canyon sometimes as they have better deals >>> Set meal of a big plate of tasty Pad Thai with free yummy Tom Yum soup is only RM12+ !!!!! The place is even air con and spacious. Long ago this FT shop had another name and it was very cheap then. Suddenly the bosses changed name and menu, so up went the $$. My late Thai mum was so fussy and didn't like their cooking as she pointed out the chefs are from Isaan Province where their cooking styles are just different. Mum prefers the Bangkok or South Thai cooking which is being served in major restaurants we know.
Call me if you ever see me inside this shop. I still eat there as I am not fussy.
Not bad huh, the setup looks exactly like those food shops in Thailand!
ReplyDeleteIt is operated by Thais so I would not be surprise that it does look exactly like their shops back home.

DeleteI like the grilled food, but before eat I need to use paper towel to absorb all the oil first, hahaha!
ReplyDeleteGrilled food is not as oily as deep fried food.
