For those mothers with very young children, the father should celebrate mother's day for the wife so that the children can learn by example and show their appreciation for their mother. I have heard some husbands who say my wife is not my mother, why should I celebrate mother's day for her. This is so, so wrong. No wonder some children do not treat their mothers with respect and show appreciation. It is because their father did not show them a good example.
Rojak with sauce served separately (MYR5.30) and Banana Leaf rice with fried chicken served on a plate pretending to be a piece of banana leaf (MYR6.70).
Roti canai (Roti Prata to some) MYR1.9 and Teh Tarik MYR2.10 for brunch
This De Iffran outlet is at Ikano and they have outlets in many shopping malls such as One Utama, Paradigm Mall to name a few.
Just MYR16 if you don't want to pay more for food at restaurants at a shopping mall but don't mind paying a bit more for food that is much cheaper when eaten at roadside stalls.
I would prefer banana leaf rice to be on a banana leaf. Ok, a bit more expensive...but one has got to pay for the comfort and all. You're a mother? Happy Mother's Day, if you are.
ReplyDeleteNo, I am not. Nowadays only a few restaurants use real banana leaf.
DeleteI agree with you, if my husband didn't celebrate my birthday or Mother's day with me, I would get mad. lol!
ReplyDelete:)
Deleteeveryday should be Mother's Day because mothers have never got any holidays throughout the year!! haha.. so is this your Mother's Day celebration at De Ifran?? :)
ReplyDeleteHow can everyday be a Mother's Day when you also say they have to work almost everyday? Mother's Day is the day when mothers should be allowed to rest and relax! Of course not!
DeleteI agree with you.. The dad must set good example with all the celebrations so that the kids will follow and treat it as a tradition every year :)
ReplyDeleteShould be like that, right?
DeleteThanks for the Mother's Day wishes, Mun. I hate it when banana leaf rice is served on a plate (or paper lookalikes) pretending to be a real banana leaf! :(
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! I think plastic sheets pretending to be banana leaf are the worst.
DeleteNice food, Mun! Happy Morther's Day to you too! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteUnlike most, I am perfectly fine with paying a bit more for comfort food in the malls. The teh tarik is already cheaper compared to the price I have to pay in the newly opened "food court" here...
ReplyDeleteYalor, why that food court charges so much for their teh tarik?
DeleteI like today's food but have to eat moderately now because of diet. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers!
ReplyDeleteYou are on a special diet? Hope you had a good mother's day.
DeleteI agreed with you. My hubby always celebrate Mother's Day for me.
ReplyDeleteYour hubby is so sweet and loving to you and the whole family!
DeleteI've walked past this outlet many times. One day I should try the food.
ReplyDeleteYou always go to Ikano?
DeleteHappy Mother's Day to you tooo.. Didn't have time to visit your blog for just 1 month, and now I am having a hard time to catch up with so many posts :)
ReplyDeleteI need to catch up on your posts during this weekend too. Thanks for dropping by and for the wishes.
DeleteI pass this place all the time but never stop here as I always go straight until I reach Uncle Lim's for his Nasi Lemak. I like the nasi lemak there. Sungguh sedap.
ReplyDeleteI have eaten Uncle Lim's nasi lemak before but has forgotten the taste now. Maybe will go eat again. UL nasi lemak is more expensive that this place.
DeleteHappy Mother's Day Mun! :)
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry I thought I commented here dy but apparently I didn't. Hmm...how mysterious.
You did wish me but in the post after this. :D so you remember correctly. Thanks!
