*** Sun Sea Coffee shop oug ***
He wanted to eat brunch at Yi Feng Restaurant OUG but there was a queue and need to wait so we walked to Sun Sea coffee shop instead. The previous time we went to Sun Sea coffee shop to buy food is in 2022, 2 years ago:
10.18 am - his seafood pork horfun with added eggs from the popular sun sea seafood pork soup noodles stall. This stall is heard to be affiliated with Hong cha eatery as in the link below:
10.11 am - while waiting for his noodles, he ordered a portion of steamed chicken MYR 8 nett which I ate one piece. Very tasty chicken without the strong off putting chicken smell. The garlic dip is very tasty too. He also bought one pack of siew yuk and roast chicken meat, total MYR 10 nett to takeaway for the elderly's lunch.
I ordered a glass of ice Hainan char MYR 3.40 nett. Forget to request for less sweet so I find this drink quite sweet.
10.38 am - this light beige coloured corner coffee shop is Sun Sea coffee shop at OUG. I couldn't find a signboard with the name Sun Sea on it though.
*** Apam LPS Lao Pin Seah ***
10.12 am - at Sun Sea coffee shop, I was pleasantly surprised to see this Penang style apom balik because I like to eat Penang style apom balik with sweet corns and banana in them.
4 pieces at MYR 5.20 nett:
A. Plain Apam
B. Banana fillings
C. Sweet corn fillings
D. Red bean fillings
4 pieces at MYR 6 nett:
F. Banana and sweet corns filings
G. Pandan Apam with coconut ye zhar fillings.
I ordered F. And G. Total MYR 12 nett.
I prefer F than G because G reminds me of kuih ketayap aka Dadar gulung due to the ye zhar coconut.
*** OUG Traditional Confectionery ***
10.43 am - I was looking for kaya swiss roll inside sun sea coffee shop and was sad to find the stall is no longer there so I was very happy to see the stall has opened its own individual shop nearby. The shop name in Chinese is ็ชไปๅ which translates directly to small pig bun but these buns are sold out so I only bought one whole Kaya swiss roll and one egg cake aka kaidan gou MYR 11.60 nett for both items.
*** Yi Feng eatery OUG ***
He told me that he has paid parking for two hours so we decided to see whether or not the queue is still there at Yi Feng. No queue. Just a short wait for the table to be cleared for us.
10.58 am - he ordered one pork ribs curry noodles MYR 18++ which has pieces of pork meat rather than ribs. Sweet curry so is totally not spicy. Iced coffee at MYR 4.90++ which tastes okay ๐
*** Kwong Wah Ais Kacang OUG ***
11.21 am - ah, if only I still have stomach space, I would eat a bowl of ABC. Unfortunately I don't so sadly I cannot eat my favourite ice desserts.
*** Picky eater? ***
12.26 noon - can see there are pieces of remaining siew Kai and confirm, the elderly doesn't like all types of mushrooms as the mushrooms are just left there untouched.
6.27 pm - lotus root soup which the elderly drank and ate the lotus root but didn't touch the meat in the soup. Chef yaw precooked chicken with wax sausages.
7.05 pm - done ๐ข the elderly didn't eat any of the chicken, just ate all the lap Cheong. Kid3 asked the elderly, next time no need to buy chicken meat for you is it? The elderly says need, still eat Chicken but today don't want.
Later the elderly told me, now 80+ already so just let it be. I was surprised to hear the elderly use these 3 English words: let it be
Because the elderly doesn't speak English. So weird.
*** 7296 ***
Wondering about this number when arrived for our appointment at 9.30 am.
4d number?๐
ReplyDeleteAh, those untouched chickens, but can keep in the fridge, reheat for next day. My last visit to sun sea kopitiam was more than a decade ago. I miss the pork noodle. I remember it has sotong & prawn in the pork soup๐
Kid3 ate the untouched chicken immediately after the elderly said enough, don't want to eat anymore. No point keeping so kid3 now is tong sampah for the elderly remaining food.
DeleteYes the seafood pork noodles got sotong and prawns ๐๐คค
