Tamarind Candies

Have you eaten this before?

They are chewy and gummy. My friend bought them from Bangkok and she told me that once she starts eating them, she can't stop.

I believe that there are a few brands for this but this is her favourite brand.

It is made from Tamarind (Assam), Sugar, Salt and Syrup without any preservatives. I can't find this product locally so I guess we need to buy them from Bangkok.

  1. No, I have not eaten this before, how does it taste? Sweet? Savory?

  2. I wonder if I can find that here, would love to try. Nothing like our asamboi, obviously.

  3. That good? I don't know I would enjoy it or not. Sour is not my cup of tea. Hehe

    1. Don't think you will find it that sour because it is sweet at the same time too.

  4. I haven't seen this exact type before. The ones we have here are the sugar-coated ones right. But can imagine it'd be really addictive!

  7. I bought tamarind candy coated with fine sugar from Phuket but the colour is whiter than this.

  8. I have been eating raw tamarind and those sugar coated since I was a toddler in Thailand. Nowadays I started drinking the tamarind juice which is popular at supermarkets as it has lots of hidden benefits.
