Best Prawn HK CCF

Left: SK Signature Combination Noodles (Dry) - MYR 18.90++ (10% service charge and 6% GST making it MYR 22.05 nett). The combination food items are: BBQ pork (Char Siew), 3 Wantons and 2 Sui Kow dumplings. My friend did not like the gravy of this noodle - she says that the gravy tastes as if it has a budget version of sesame oil in it but the texture of the noodles is nice - soft yet springy. A small bowl of broth accompanies this dry noodle dish.

Right: Sui Kow dumplings noodles in soup - MYR 15.90++ (MYR 18.55 nett). I prefer the Wantons dumplings to Sui Kow dumplings although the Sui Kow dumplings are bigger.

Since this dish was not available in the Midvalley branch, I ordered it at the MyTown branch: HK chee cheong fun with prawns at MYR 9.90++ (MYR 11.55 nett) making it MYR 1.925 nett per segment of chee cheong fun.  There were 6 fresh prawns in this dish - 3 prawns per roll, 1 prawn per segment and the chee cheong fun (flat rice noodles) is not too soft but still smooth. Very delicious. My favourite prawn HK ccf at the moment.

We ordered the 3 treasures glutinous rice with chicken (Loh Mai Kai) since we like it when we ate it at the Midvalley branch but it was not available because it was sold out the previous day. We also notice that they have changed the menu since the last time we were here because the lotus leaf glutinous rice dish we ate the previous time is no longer on the menu.

Mango Pomelo Grass Jelly Shaved Ice - MYR 9.90++ (MYR 11.55 nett). Tasty with nice fresh mango with no artificial mango cordial drinks taste.

Peanut Paste - MYR 5.90++ (MYR 6.90 nett). We prefer the peanut paste we had at another eatery because that one tastes of roasted peanuts whereas this one tastes of peanut butter.

Total bill for 3 pax: MYR 70.55 nett at Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert at the MyTown branch.

  5. Thought the dumplings should be in the soup rather than served on the plate.

Ah not easy to get nice HK CCF these days. The ones at dimsum outlets aren't much good.

    2. Well the only dumplings I've had served on the plate are when the dumplings are of the fried variety. If it's white like this... will come in the soup.
