大埔笋粄

 Mei Chai Bao (梅菜包) - Preserved vege Steamed Buns (2) at MYR4 and Hakka Bamboo Shoot Dumplings (2) - 大埔笋粄at MYR5 -Ying Ker Lou's teatime prices.

 Soft buns with sweetish Mei Chai and pieces of pork.

The pieces of bamboo shoots are visible here and I like the yam taste of the "skin".

  1. Bamboo shoot dumplings? First time I hear.. Got "that kind" of smell or not? Coz normal bamboo roots got "that kind" of smell, if you know what I mean, hehehe.. But I don't mind that taste, I can accept it.. Come on, if I can eat 2 pairs of kidneys everyday for a month, then I can also accept bamboo shoots..

      Yes of course got that bamboo shoot smell but not a lot so most people can eat this dumpling.
