Sun 5.dec.21 - my friend ordered this tasty hazelnut cream chocolate cake delivery to my place from Michelle Young bakery at Bukit Jalil. I can taste the rich hazelnut cream in the middle of this cake. Took me a few days to finish eating the whole cake.

12 noon - okra and brinjal.

1.34 pm - my lunch of okras and brinjals in the remaining curry soup from the curry noodles bought on Tuesday.

Saturday 25.dec.21 12.39 noon - rice wine chicken. He added mihun to it. The wine is quite sweet.

The Little Perakian

Thursday 23.dec.21 is his duty day. We went to OUG to pick up food that we ordered via hp calls and wataps and paid using e-wallet.

12.39 noon - ate half for lunch and half for dinner.

12.38 noon - the crispy beancurd sheets and rolls should be eaten immediately to get the very crispy effect.

12.40 noon - mushroom ccf. The mushrooms gravy is thick with slices of mushrooms and minced meat. I think this is the best mushroom gravy ccf that I have eaten. The ccf is very smooth and QQ springy type.

I ordered two pieces of all items available on their menu except for lobak aka ngor Heong which is sold out and it is worth it to try all their items to see which item one likes best. I like the namyu deep fried pork, chives rolls, prawn rolls, sengkuang cake the best.

We bought beef noodles, beef balls, stew radish beef aka lobak lam for the Elderlies' lunch from Yang Kee, OUG. The above items are divided into two equal portions - one portion for the Elderlies and one portion for us. The beef balls are now much smaller in size.

Blueberry Cheese Lava Cake

On Wednesday 22.dec.21, we stayed at home the whole day and order just one delivery to cover 3 meals.

1.59 pm - I ate the blueberry cheese lava cake bought from Domino's Pizza on the previous Wed which means this 9 cm aka 3.5 inches cake has been in my fridge for 7 days. When I received this cake immediately after delivery, it was piping hot to be able to give the lava effect. Since I ate it cold directly from the fridge, the lava effect is no longer applicable. List price is MYR 15.90 which is a bit on the high side but there are always some suitable coupons on Domino's web store to get some discounts.

2.02 pm - the layer of blueberries in the middle taste good. The cheese taste is ok.

12.20 noon - our shared lunch of curry noodles from New Lian Hin coffee shop.

12.39 noon - my share of curry noodles for lunch with the portion of pepper stomach meehoon he kept for me from his breakfast. This pepper stomach soup mihun was bought on Sunday, 3 days ago from ICC Pudu Food Court.

4.30 pm - sweet potatoes tong sui with strong ginger taste in the syrupy water. I like to eat the pieces of sweet potatoes which they gave quite a lot. The other tong sui dessert we bought is glutinous rice tong sui and by default they added a lot of santan aka coconut milk to it which is fine by me.

5.28 pm - our shared dinner of siew yuk and char siew rice. Quite a lot of meat for MYR 11.70 so we may buy this rice more often as it tastes good too. 

Delivery fee is at MYR 6.35  but luckily the feastkv promo code cancels that off. New Lian Hin is one eatery where we can buy different types of food for the whole day so it is on our regular list now.

3 in 1 Teh Tarik

On Tuesday 21.dec.21, we delivered hor fun soup to the Elderlies for their lunch and bought a loaf of Massimo bread for their regular daily breakfast as Gardenia Wholemeal bread is still not available.

This chek hup 3 in 1 Teh Tarik is given foc for us too try. It is too sweet for me but has a nice light tea fragrance. A quick instant gratification when there is a sudden craving for teh tarik.

11.12 am - my lunch of Kai see hor fun with a small chicken wine rice bao. The hor fun is soft and slips easily down the throat with a nice rice taste. Not those QQ springy type which I don't like.

Bought 4 packs of hor fun soup noodles from Thong Kee coffee shop at Sri Petaling at an average of about MYR 9 inclusive of delivery fees.

Monday 20.dec.21 6.41 pm - his dinner of rice wine meehoon from ICC Pudu Food Court bought on Sunday. But he was still full from tea time so he ate a bit and kept most of it for the next day.

Tuesday 21.dec.21 5.27 pm - he ate the remaining rice wine meehoon for dinner. Still taste good.

5.29 pm - finally on Tues 21.dec.21, I managed to find time and stomach space to eat the whole bowl of aiyu jelly bought on Monday 14.dec.21 which means it has been stored in the fridge for 7 days. Taste a bit fermented but still refreshing.

Bacon Mi Xian

On Monday 20.dec.21, we stayed at home the whole day and ate the food we bought on Sunday for all 3 meals.

1.06 pm - our shared lunch bought on Sunday from ICC Pudu Food Court. Bursting meatballs noodles mi Xian laden with ingredients: half a hard boiled egg, bacon, bursting meatballs, tomatoes, tong choy, ham choy and celery.

1.15 pm - my portion of this mi Xian soup noodles. Mi Xian is thick noodles made with rice that has soft non springy texture. The bacon gave the soup a smokey taste which is quite nice.

12.53 noon - my portion of Lou shu fen noodles that he kept aside for me from his breakfast. I prefer noodles without the soup.

Shi Quan Da Bu Tang

Sunday 19.dec.21 is we-do-not-feel-like-going-out-day so we ordered a lot of food from ICC Pudu Food Court for our meals for a few days as this Sunday and the next day, Monday is kid 1's day. In the evening, kid 1 and spouse brought food and ate dinner with the Elderlies.

On Thursday, I bought 5 types of soup from Desa Petaling and one of them is Shi Quan Da Bu Tang aka 十全大補湯 aka 十全大补汤 that literally translate to ten whole big repair soup. On Sunday this is the only remaining soup and he refused to drink it because he says he doesn't want to take Dong Quai aka Dang Gui aka Radix angelicae sinensis which is one of the herbs used in this soup so I have to drink this soup since I am the one who bought it. Then I found a few articles on who should and shouldn't drink this soup that is also a tonic so next time I won't buy this soup:

6.11 pm - we shared this petai ckt for dinner and I drank the Shi Quan Da Bu Tang while he helped me by eating the meat in the soup.

This was the tonic soup item on the menu that I took a photo of it on Thursday.

As both of us wanted to stay at home for both Sunday and Monday, we ordered 9 items from ICC Pudu Food Court at 9.10 am and received all 9 items at 10.10 am so it was very fast.

Total price is MYR 108.25 nett inclusive of delivery fees as there is a 10% discount.  Average price per item is about MYR 12 which is quite ok since this price includes delivery fees. The url to order is:

12.08 noon - nasi lemak prawn sambal for lunch shared by 2 pax. The rice has lots of santan aka coconut milk taste so it is very fragrant. We always order nasi lemak with prawn sambal because they give many prawns so it is very tasty.

2.13 pm - my late lunch of ling Fish Mee hoon from his breakfast bought from Swee Heng on Saturday, my portion of nasi lemak prawn sambal and one small tiny yellow wine chicken bao. A mix and match late lunch.

Pomegranate

Saturday 18.dec.21 is a long long rainy day and we supplied 3 meals to the Elderlies. It has been raining since Friday night and many places in the Klang Valley are flooded until the roof of a car is submerged in flood water. It was cold too as the mid day temperature dipped to 26 degree Celsius.

I bought this one large pomegranate on Sun 5.dec.21 from Just Fruits Taman Desa Danau for MYR 6 nett.

2.34 pm 15.dec.21 - finally took the pomegranate out from the fridge after 10 days to eat it. Took me about 40 minutes to get this bowl of lovely pomegranate arils.

Says:

"A pomegranate aril is a seed pod inside a pomegranate. The clear, reddish fruit surrounds a tiny, crisp seed aka pit, and the whole aril is edible. "

I tried eating the whole aril including the tiny crisp white seed inside but I didn't find the experience very pleasing so I spit out the tiny white pits.

1.45 pm - halfway through cutting a pomegranate. I remove the arils from the pith using my fingers. It is easier to use fingers than spoons because I find using spoons will break the arils and the red sweet juice will splash everywhere.

Very sweet, juicy and crunchy arils. Very nice to eat but takes effort to prepare.

*** Sat 18.dec.21 ***

A full day of rain. As the Elderlies have eaten all their gardenia wholemeal bread on Friday, we ordered dim sum breakfast for them.

7.37 am - breakfast for him and the Elderlies. He delivered 2 char siew Baos, 2 siew Mai, 2 prawn Mai and 2 fish balls to them at 8.10 am. I didn't eat any of the items because my stomach hasn't wake up yet.

I used a compensation voucher from Pandamart for this order from Dim Sum House. 

On the way to the elderlies house to deliver breakfast, we went to buy gardenia wholemeal bread for the elderlies but we suspect that due to the flood, no new batch of bread was delivered so we didn't get to buy any. After deliverinh the dim sum, since we are out of the house, we went to Swee Heng to buy our own food for the day:

1. Ling Fish mihun MYR 14 from MYR 13.

2. Pork yee Mee MYR 7.50 from MYR 7.

1. Pork trotter wanton Mee at MYR 8 from MYR 7.50 nett.

At 11.30 am, it was still drizzling so we didn't order food delivery but went out again to buy gardenia wholemeal bread. No new batch so we bought Massimo bread for the elderlies instead. We also went to Tim Won to buy lunch for the elderlies:

1. Seafood mihun horfun soup at MYR 8.

2. No more salted eggs so it is just century eggs, minced pork and deep fried intestines at MYR 7.

After delivering lunch to the Elderlies, we went home to eat lunch.

1.13 pm - my lunch of the pork trotter wanton noodles that he kept for me and the two segments of thin crust pizza I bought on wed, kept for 3 days in the fridge. The pizza Hawaiian chicken segment and beef pepperoni segment still taste good cold.

1.26 pm - I folded the pizza segments to be almost like a calzone before eating them.

At 4 pm, there is a break in the rain so we quickly ordered dinner from Jazz Cafe for the elderlies. The order kept getting delayed for reasons unknown so the Elderlies finally received their lunch at about 5.10 pm. Then at about 5.30 pm, the rain resumed heavily so luckily the rider has delivered the dinner successfully during the short break in the rain.

5.14 pm - he ate the pork yee Mee from swee Heng as early dinner and kept some for me. This is his favourite yee Mee noodles.

6.20 pm - I finally find time to eat all the remaining aiyu jelly bought on Sunday 12.dec.21 kept in the fridge for 6 days. The lemon fruity taste a bit fermented but still refreshing and I am still ok after eating it.

Hope all the people affected by the flood will get the help they need to restore their homes and vehicles.
