*** Restaurant 38 jln Sepadu ***
The fish balls taste authentic enough, less starch.
8.26 am - restaurant 38 fish balls noodles jalan sepadu.
He ordered dry liver lembing noodles
Soft boiled eggs MYR 1 nett
Hot cham less sweet MYR 3.90 nett
I ordered cold cham normal MYR 4.50 nett which is not as thick as I prefer it to be and despite my better judgement that the donut is very oily the previous time I ate it, I also ordered XL Donut 3 in 1 MYR 9.90 nett because I want to try it again to see whether or not it is as oily as I remembered it to be. 3 in 1 means the fillings are one fried egg, cheese and ham. Because it was still early and my stomach hasn't started accepting food yet, I took the whole donut home in my container.
7.46 am - he put the soft boiled eggs into the dry noodles.
2.56 pm - I ate the donut with one slice of wholemeal bread. The donut is indeed very very oily so this is the last time. After that I ate one banana 🍌 and one Kam 🍊 thus completing my food intake for this day.

I usually avoid fish balls or pork/beef balls because they tend to contain a lot of starch. It's good that you ate one that has less starch.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young, I helped my mother made fish balls from mackerel fish meat, totally no starch. just keep stirring and beating the fish meat into paste and then hand knead the paste to stick together into a ball. I suspect this fish ball could be the same.

ReplyDeleteDonuts ARE fried snacks. At least you would never bother thinking whether to buy this particular one.
Haha ya but Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts are not as oily as this super super extremely extremely oily donut. I think 🤔 there are some baked or steamed donuts too if I am not mistaken.
