On Thursday 13.feb.2025, went to midvalley mall to eat my early valentine day brunch after he painted the cement porch with water sealant blue paint from 8.14 am to 9 am. Traffic congestion on salak highway due to a stalled tractor in the middle of the road. Took 17 minutes from 10.43 am to 11 am to reach midvalley mall.
*** Red Kettle Gardens Mall ***
After reading PH's cakes experience in the link below, I realised that I haven't eaten any cakes at Red Kettle so I decided to eat cakes as the early valentine brunch:
12.03 noon - mocha cake is not available so I ordered black forest cake MYR 20.90++ which has strong alcohol taste which I like with rich chocolate taste 😋
The tiramisu cake MYR 24.90++ has lots of walnuts in it so is very delicious 🤤
12.04 noon - flat white and iced long black. Both are MYR 14.90++ each. The flat white is very creamy with robust coffee taste ☕ The iced long black is refreshingly slightly bitter.
12.06 noon - I ordered bacon sourdough eggs cheese MYR 34.90++ but requested for no cheese because he doesn't eat cheese and I want him to eat the bacon. The scrambled eggs are buttery.
Total for 5 items MYR 128.20 nett.
12.14 noon - my portion after he has eaten his share of bacon. He ate a bit of the black forest cake and drank both coffee a bit so I ate the bulk of this tasty brunch and completed my omad for this day.
*** Nanyang Cafe Midvalley mall ***
His main brunch:
11.14 am - prawns wanton soup without noodles MYR 15.50++
11.20 am - soft boiled eggs after 6 minutes in hot boiling water MYR 4.80++
He says they are too cooked so next time we will wait 5 minutes only.
11.23 am - pork knuckles noodles MYR 19.90++
12.26 noon - shared hot Nanyang coffee MYR 8.50++ and my portion of prawns wantons.
Total for 4 items MYR 56.50 nett.
We always eat these 5 items at this eatery. They are our favourites.

The Red Kettle Black Forrest Cake is also very good. Glad you could try the Tiramisu Cake. At one time, they discontinued the Mocha Cake and I told the manager to please consider bringing it back because it is an excellent cake. LOL! Ah! Today I had a Valentine's Day brunch at Red Kettle and ate the Sourdough Bacon Cheese and Eggs for the first time. It was so good! Thanks to you, I tried it hee..hee...

I went to Red Kettle after seeing your previous post on it. Liked the 'dutch baby' dish the best, specifically the pancake thingy underneath.
