Chai Kuih

On Sunday 8.may.22, went to Taman Desa to buy food for ourselves. Also bought fruits and a quarter upper duck part at MYR 18 with 20 duck gizzards at MYR 1 each.

12.30 noon - shared lunch from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop at MYR 12 for:

1. Small portion rice

2. Whole Chicken thigh

3. Scrambled eggs

4. 1 braised egg

5. Tong hoon gourd

6. Napa cabbages

7. Yin choy

8. Soy knot

Chicken thigh rice and mushrooms chicken feet is for my friend.

Bought 4 items for pick-up to use up the partial refund voucher of MYR 42 nett.

*** Original Nyonya ***

2.49 pm - remaining food from the previous day: plain rice from Chatto, from Original Nyonya: turmeric rice, tomyam mihun, peanuts and anchovies. Ate the plain rice and turmeric rice.

3.04 pm - one chai kuih and kuih ketayap from the previous day original Nyonya.

3.04 pm - cross section. The skin of the chai kuih is quite thick and chewy nice. The fillings taste like ju hu char made from jicama. The kuih ketayap has coconut fillings which has gula melaka taste but need to be eaten immediately upon receipt because the taste has gone a bit off after one day but I still eat it all, no waste.

3.16 pm - finished eating all the remaining tomyum mihun with peanuts and anchovies.

*** Swee Lian Ji Pork Noodles ***

5.22 pm - ate my portion of pork bitter gourd mihun he kept for me from his breakfast. Bought the previous day from Swee Lian Ji Pork Noodles at Fat Boy Coffee shop. Taste nice because I always like soft soft mihun.
