On Sunday 15.may.22, went to Taman Desa and buy food for lunch for the Elderlies and ourselves.
11 am - our shared lunch from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop. Price is MYR 9 for:1. Small portion of rice
2. Okra
3. Napa cabbage
4. One braised egg
5. Egg tofu
6. Soyknots
7. Brinjal tiny minced meat
Nasi Lemak with potatoes curry, pork curry and tiny prawns sambal at MYR 9 from Sepetang coffee shop shared by the both of us for lunch too.
Lunch for the Elderlies from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop:
1. 3jc mihun soup at MYR 7.5
Also bought a similar pack for ourselves
2. Medium portion of ccf, 2 brinjals ytf, 1 bitter gourd ytf, 1 bean curd sheet ytf, 1 deep fried roll for MYR 13.30
Bought:
1. 2 siew Bao and 1 egg tart at MYR 2.20 each from Sing Kee Kitchen coffee shop
2. Dry curry chicken wanton noodles from Sepetang coffee shop at MYR 7 nett. They use chicken thighs for the curry chicken so the meat is smooth and soft. It is also not spicy so will be suitable for the Elderlies.
3. Gardenia wholemeal bread at MYR 3.60 for the Elderlies from 7-11 convenient store.
For the Elderlies' dinner, they requested for new lucky bkt with pork ribs and not pork thigh so the order was placed at about 4.40 pm but the app kept postponing the delivery time. At 5.30 pm, we did a chat with Foodpanda help center who said 6.08 pm but we can't take the risk in case it gets postponed again so asked to be changed to pickup.
There was no function to directly change the order from delivery to pickup so the help center changed the order status to cancelled and then only after I have picked up the order, the status was changed to delivered. When the status was changed to cancelled, the seller was alarmed because they have already prepared the food, all packed so the seller called Foodpanda help center which then called us and then we have to tell the Foodpanda help center that we are on the way to pick up the order so the help center then called the seller to inform them to wait for customers to pick up the order. So it was a long winded and confusing process to change from delivery to pickup.
The help center informed us that they won't reimburse us with one free propanda delivery since we used up one free delivery for this order and we had to agree before they change the delivery order to pick up. Later we requested for a delayed compensation so they gave us a MYR 5 voucher. I guess Foodpanda also doesn't have enough riders after 4 pm, just like Grabfood.
I normally order Grab food and if I order before 5pm, then there will be a promo of 50% capped at 10rm or around there... actually very worth it.. hahaha..

DeleteI seriously think FP app need to enhance to allow flexibility in changing delivery option or perhaps time/details rather than cancelling and redo ordering. So misleading and not user friendly.

DeleteI had a similar experience using Maybank where the rider didn't show up and couldn't be contacted. It was the seller who informed me, called Maybank to settle, changed rider. Then I terkejut when order cancelled haha. Turned out that was just in the system and actual was fine as they replaced the rider manually. Luckily I'd placed the order very early so wasn't in a rush to receive.
