WG Vegetarian Claypot Yimi

Claypot yimi (yee mee) at MYR 16.90 nett from Medifoods, SS2, PJ. It has a lot of vegetables such as napa cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, mushrooms in it, and also tofu, soybean sheets. The amount of vegetables is as much as the vegetables in the Wan Tan Yee Mee at MYR 11.90 nett from Five Fingers Vegetarian Shop at Damansara Jaya. This time I did not force myself to finish the whole bowl of yee mee like I did at Five Fingers but kept half of the yee mee.

The vegetables are too hard for my weak teeth but I ate all of them by chewing them for a long time. The yimi noodles taste different from the usual yimi noodles. They are not as salty and the texture is more springy. I would not order this noodle again as I prefer Medifoods lontong and mee jawa than this yee mee. This noodle is for those who want to eat a lot of vegetables with yimi noodles in a very clear and light soup.

My friend's favourite noodles - yin choy pan mee at MYR 16.90 nett. The papaya is complimentary.

Bill for 2 pax at MYR 30.40 nett at Medifoods, SS2, PJ. With member card discount, the noodles cost MYR 15.20 nett each.

  2. Looks quite nice and I like it that there are lots of vegetables in this noodle dish. I happen to prefer my noodles on the firmer side.

  3. I like claypot yee mee but must be careful as it is hot. I always burn myself when I ate it as a child. Lol.

    1. I prefer the natural flavour of fresh ingredients and the vegetables here are not cooked long enough for their natural flavours to appear.

  6. If the vegs are still hard means they need to be cooked longer.
