GS Zuk Noodle House

During one recent Sunday at Midvalley Mall, I noticed that Mini Mini Cafe has been replaced by a new eatery so we went there to try out the noodles.

Fresh prawns wanton noodles - MYR 14.20 nett. There are 4 big prawn wantons. The noodles are springy wanton noodles that smell of "kan sui" (枧水, jian shui) but taste ok. As I do not drink the broth, I did not have much expectations for it but my friend says that the broth needs to be improved because nothing stands out in regards to its taste and it could not stand on its own as a soup.

I counted 3 prawns in the one wanton so the prawn wantons are worth trying.

Please click on the above photo to read the menu.

Spicy Soup Pork noodles at MYR 17.05 nett. The broth is very spicy from white pepper. Other than pork meat, there are pork stomachs and livers too with strips of salted vegetable.

This is how the spicy pork noodles is presented in the menu. Please click the above to view a larger image.

Total price for 2 pax is MYR 31.25 nett.

Zuk / Zok Noodle House is located on the same floor as McD near the cinema at Midvalley Mall.

  2. Prawn wanton noodles look good. The dishes sure look a whole lot nicer in the menu - I think there are laws against that and they can be sued for misrepresentation...just that we Asians are never bothered about such things.

    1. But most menus have very small prints (disclaimer) that say "the photos are only artist impressions and do not represent the actual products" so some other words to that effect.

  3. Luckily you said the noodles are ok and worth trying although they are pricey. I'm a big fan of noodles. It doesn't matter what kind of noodles. And that includes instant noodles such as Maggie mee.

  8. This outlet looks good. But in my very infrequent trips there, I'd just end up in Zun Express hehe.
