Peranakan Place

Mee Siam - MYR12.90++ (10% service charge and 6% GST = MYR15.05 nett. This Mee Siam tastes as good as my favourite mee siam but is not as sweet, more to savoury. In fact, I prefer mee siam to be more savoury than sweet. Portion is just right for me.

Other food ordered by my friends. I did not have any drinks.

Peranakan Place at Nu Sentral adjoining KL Sentral. Very colourful words.

    1. ya, don't think I have read about mee siam in your blog Libby. I guess you must have a collection of nice blue and white porcelain bowls and plates, STP.

  3. I haven't had Mee Siam in quite a long time. Though the plate is nice, I still feel it would look better if served in a round plate.

  5. I used to think that Mee Siam were Thai food as my mum made them very well at home until I became adult and ate them at Peranakan Shops. There is slight difference as the Thai styled used lots of fresh sliced shallots and celery with lime.

    1. You are right because Siam means Thai, right? I guess those that I eat here has been modified slightly for the locals.

  6. I thought it was the 1u one at first.

My mum makes Mee Siam with a sourish meatish sauce. It was only later that I realised that Mee Siam to some is just normal fried beehoon.
