Too soft

It is time for cakes again after more than 6 months.

There were too many types of cakes at Secret Recipe so I randomly choose a slice of New York Cheese cake. The texture is softer than what I expected, almost like Japanese cheese cakes.

Here's a look at its texture. The description on its website states "baked soft creamy cheese with chocolate cookie base" so the texture is meant to be soft. The good thing is the price is still MYR8.80 nett. I hope they keep to this price for many more years and I will keep eating their cakes every 6 months.

  1. The last time I had cakes was when I went to the dinner buffet with my friend, I had Cheese Cake, it was good, haha you fix a timing to eat cakes, every 6 months, is it because of diet that is why?

I do not like my Cheese Cake to be too soft

    2. But I find it expensive to eat cakes, just one small piece can easily cost S$2.20, if buy 4 pieces, will cost S$8.80, almost S$10 and it does not fill your stomach, after a while get hungry again, but once in a while pamper ourselves is ok

    5. What I do is I will use the money for my main meal to eat cakes so in the end, I still spend the same amount of money for the day. No need to spend more than what is budgeted for meals per day.

  2. Have not been to SR for a long long time, now even less likely to drop by since my girl is on a gluten-free diet.

  4. Their prices are still reasonable with the best variety of cheesecakes. I love to eat their muesli cheesecake and Durian cheesecake. The flavours sent me to heavens!

  5. Their cake's price are reasonable. We love to have their cakes too once a while. With MBB card, we enjoyed a free slice of cake when we dine in RM45 and above in a single receipt. I guess this promo is still on.

  8. The texture appears like Japanese cheesecake. I thought New York Cheesecake is the American Style dense type.

  10. I love SR cakes too... and I certainly do not take them once in 6 months.. desserts like this are taken quite frequently and I better watch out my sweet tooth! They seem to be uncontrollable when it comes to sweeties like these..
