Not so new

One fine Sunday, my friends and I wanted to have a meal at Peter Hoe Cafe at The Row, Jalan Doraisamy (first floor) so we went there at 10.30 am but the lunch menu was not available yet so one of my friends suggested that we walk to Yut Kee eatery a few streets away. Ever since Yut Kee moved to its new location (which is very near to its old location) in 2014, I have not been there so I said ok, why not, might as well try the food there at least once since I seldom venture into this area.

When we reached Yut Kee, there were many people waiting for seats but we did not have to wait long and were shown to our table. We did not order the popular dishes such as Pork Bun and Hainanese Chicken Chop because we felt like eating noodles. The noodles taste ok with reasonable price.

Lum Mee - MYR 8.50 nett

Curry MeeHoon Mee - MYR 7.50 nett

Hailam Mee - MYR 7.50 nett

Fried Toong Fun - MYR 7.50 nett

Full House

Yut Kee

Total bill for 4 is MYR 37.65 nett inclusive of drinks

Closed on Mondays

This is the new but not so new location.

  5. The Lum Mee...a bit white but looks appetising. The ones I have tasted are all a little brownish.

  10. I noticed you always go to popular places but order the not-popular items there. Don't like that lah, one weirdo (me) is enough already for the world... heh...

Have you ever tried their stuffed roasted pork anyway?

    1. their stuffed roasted pork is only available on certain days that i was not there so i did not get to try it. i have tried the popular dishes like chicken chop and roti babi many years ago but did not like them so that was why did not order them again.

  11. LOL at RealGunners's comment. Yea, normally people go there to hav their signature hainanese pork/chicken chop. Their butter cakes (sold in boxes) are also quite popular. Till now I have yet to try any of their food. Seldom venture to that area.

  12. Wow full house. Good business going on there. I'd go for the curry meehoon for sure as I am not keen on the other three noodles.

  14. I like some of Yut Kee's offerings - marble cake, swiss roll, roti babi, beef noodle. But many of the other things are just so-so for me.

    2. That one never tried haha. I don't go often at all - parking is a problem and taking LRT is quite troublesome too. Anyway now my workplace is now far away in PJ.
