Please queue

The roast trio - chicken, bbq pork and roast pork

MYR10 nett for the above. Taste good.

Everyone needs to queue here to place, wait and pay for their order to carry their own plates to the their tables - self-service. They only have one roast chicken at one time so you can't choose the parts because they will wait until the whole roast chicken parts are sold before going to the kitchen behind to take out another roast chicken. This famous stall is located ...

... in Hong Seng Coffee shop in Section 17, PJ

    1. I guess for three types of meat, the price is ok.

  2. I know one place like this - fish noodles, clear soup or tom yam. Order, watch out for it...once ready, go and get yourself, self-service. Not very friendly people so I don't bother to go there. I hear they will scold you even if you go and ask why your order is taking so long. I give you money, you'd better treat me with a little respect - I'd settle for something less, no problem at all.

    1. This one you have to wait standing at the stall while your order is being fulfilled.

  5. Have to finish one chicken before they bring out another... haha interesting rule! So a customer can say, ok, I wait for your next chicken coz I only want drumstick... then got separate queue of people wanting specific parts of chicken hehe.

    1. No separate queue. If you ask for chicken thigh the seller will say no thigh left only chicken breast meat. If you still want thigh you need to go to the back of the queue and hope and pray when it reaches your turn againthere are chicken thighs left.from the new chicken they brought out after this chicken parts are all sold out.

  6. The queue moves pretty fast, so it's quite ok but I wasn't aware of the 'taking one chicken out at a time only' rule. Of the trio, which was your favourite? I would have thought that you'd find the roast chicken too salty for your taste buds.

    1. I was made aware of it when I ask for chicken thigh and he replied no more so I said any parts of roast chicken and he gave me the rest of the roast chicken, what was left. Then for the next person there was no roast chicken left so the seller went to the back for 5 minutes and came back with a new whole roast chicken and the person behind me got the thighs when he requests for it from the new chicken. I didn't eat the skin so the roast chicken wasn't too salty.

  7. Have to wait it has sold the chicken then good man, so it won't have any leftover one, first come first serve.

    1. I guess that's the idea so there wouldn't be non popular parts left.

  8. This is also my habit to order the Trio-Meat combo for my lunch. We seem to have similar tastes all the time.

  9. hmmm, if the queue is due to the reason they only have one chicken at one time, and then take all the trouble to replace one chicken at each time after it is done, i think i will not queue for this stall at all.. it's not efficient and not offering good customer service, IMHO..

    1. The queue is there because you need to stand there to wait and collect your order. Not due to one chicken at a time.

  10. Wah so bad-a** ah! Cannot choose chicken part. But they manage to be successful even with this, then it is a good idea. No wastage on their part.

Anyway, I seldom have chicken at chicken rice stall, it is always the oinks, so I wouldn't mind this bit of bad-a**ery..

    1. Sorry, I mean you can't choose when the parts are not available because they won't take a new chicken just tp give you the parts you specify.
