Bitter gourd rice

This is steamed bitter gourd pork rice - MYR7.50 - more pieces of bitter gourd than pork meat served by Yau Hao Fook eatery.  The taste is quite acceptable for a fuss free meal.

Blanched Choy Sum vegetable - MYR6 - we requested for nothing to be added to it, just blanched and served. Prices are nett and we shared this meal between the two of us as I take only a little food as dinner.

    1. You don't like to eat greens but you like fukua. I find this so amazing as many people don't like to eat fukua cos scared of its bitter taste.

    2. This Princess Ribbon never fails to surprise me. I would've thought fukua is worse than normal green veges :-/

  2. I can handle blanched vegetables, but... nothing added to it? Not even a bit of salt? That's pretty rough for me. How did the spouse handle it?

    1. No salt, nothing. My spouse is used to it because I cook all veges like this - blanched or steamed with nothing.

  3. No sauce on the vegetables? I find it hard to eat like that.
