Kjeldsens

This brand used to be my favourite butter cookies but too bad, I don't quite like to eat butter cookies now as I prefer savoury food to sweet food.

There are 5 different shapes - with raisins, with sugar on top, with dessicated coconut, or just plain. I used to like them all equally.

Ingredients: wheat flour, butter, sugar, desiccated coconut, blackcurrants, salt, raising agent.

  1. This brand is still my favourite. I tried several others but they seemed to be too sweet.

  3. Every time I eat this, I would set out to eat 1 piece per shape and then close the lid, but every time my subconscious mind will control my hand to mistakenly take wrongly, I would end up eating 2 pieces on 1 of the shapes, then to balance out I need to eat 2 pieces per shape. Am I the only one who does that? :P

    1. Now other brands also use blue tins so sometimes accidentally can buy the wrong one.

  12. I like them, but encountered a few times opening a brand-new tin with cookies already "masuk-angin". Put me off coz they aren't cheap at all.

    1. Usually there will be a long piece of cellophane tape sealing any gaps between the cover and the container to prevent "masuk angin". So was there no cellophane tape or did the cellophane tape not work?

  13. Used to love this too. They certainly do not come cheap, not anymore. I prefer Scottish shortbread though...and there are other nicer ones as well these days.

  14. This is the best Danish butter cookies... I love it too and seeing the tin makes me excited hehe. It's usually cheaper during the festive season in Msia. Over here in China, the price is 3x more expensive. The import duty here is very high so Malaysians are actually quite lucky to be able to enjoy imported products that are relatively much cheaper.
