On Tuesday 6.dec.2022, went to Golden Chopstick coffee shop to buy 3 packs of chapfan lunch MYR 20 for the Elderlies and himself. Dinner is from shopeefood delivery because he needs to visit the Elderlies in the evening to remove the diabetics socks so I asked him not to cook dinner in the evening.

*** Pork Trotters ***

12.42 noon - scoop out the ingredients of the black bean pork trotter soup from the plastic container into a glass bowl.

12.44 noon - then pour the liquid soup into the bowl. Tasty soup 😋😋

3.31 pm - a piece of lean meat from the soup which I like to eat. Taste of the black bean soup, no porky taste.

3.25 pm - braised pork trotter with one egg. Flavourful with slightly spicy gravy. Yummy! Both trotter dishes have lots of thick gooey skin, full of collagen goodness. 😋 😋

Total price for two trotter dishes at MYR 36.51 including delivery fees.

Satay by Sedap Pavilion Bukit Jalil

On Monday 5.dec.2022, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil because a few doors away, renovation is underway and the drilling is very noisy.

*** Sedap by Grandmama's  ***

12.53 noon - I wanted to eat satay so we went to Sedap by Grandmama's at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Before this we shared a meal mihun deep fried chicken whole leg at Oriental Kopi. 

There are two tubs of satay sauce but we requested the staff to take one tub back to the kitchen when the staff brought the food to our table because one tub of satay sauce is more than enough for the two of us. The satay chicken and beef taste good to me, no fatty pieces at all so I like them.

1.17 pm - I wanted to eat cendol at Penang Chendul or ABC ice at Kwong Wah but changed my mind and ordered this ABC ice at Sedap instead. For MYR 8.9+, this ABC is loaded with ingredients and I was so full from finishing it all by myself.

There are lychees, longans and even atapchi aka Nypa fruticans in it along with cendol, red beans, corns, grass jelly and ice cream.

The beef satay is MYR 16.9+ for 5 skewers and the chicken satay is myr 14.9+ for 5 skewers.

We didn't order drinks.

I ordered this ABC ice dessert at MYR 8.9+ and I think this is the most value for money dessert here.

Serving up good food, one sedap plate at a time is their tagline.

They even have apam balik.

So will you eat at Sedap?

Sedap eatery is at the top floor of pavilion Bukit Jalil pink zone.  I will try Oppa Toast and Yogurt Cow next time.

Lo Sam Pastry Wrapper

On Sunday 4.dec.2022, went to Taman Desa to buy our chapfan lunch without rice.

12.33 noon - our shared chapfan lunch without rice MYR 12 from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop:

1. Two braised eggs

2. Chicken thigh

3. Stir fried eggs bittergourd

4. Okra

5. Broccoli and cauliflower

6. Siew bok choy

My friend asked me to buy wantan pastry and sui Gao pastry wrappers for her because she wants to make wantan and sui Gao. I found them under lo Sam brand at Mr farmer grocer in Taman Desa and bought one pack each for her. The price is between MYR 3 to 4 per pack.

DIY Bento

On Saturday 3.dec.2022, he cooked lunch and made a bento for Elderly 1 and bought Foodpanda delivery pork mihun soup from SingYeh noodles house for Elderly 2. Dinner is bought from 126 Mixed Rice Sri Petaling for the Elderlies while he ate the dish he cooked for lunch.

11.41 am - he made this bento for Elderly 1's lunch.

3.56 pm - this is the dish he cooked to put in the Bento: duck meat, onion, capsicum, avocado and egg stir fry.

3 Foodpanda deliveries:

1. SingYeh Noodles House MYR 31.50 for 5 packs of pork mihun soup. One pack is for Elderly 2's lunch.

2. A&W blue-beary double beef patty burger and 3 pieces of fried chicken MYR 30 which I gave to my friend.

3. Salad Atelier as below:

12.36 noon - to play the challenge game, the order must be above MYR 28 so I select Unagi Kebayaki as the protein. It is seasoned with kebayaki sauce which is sweet and salty but feels more sweet to me.

Achieved an order over MYR 28 which is MYR 33.45 including delivery fees and a tip.

3.08 pm - my portion of avocado.

5.43 pm - bought 2x200 g and foc 100 g Nescafe Gold Alta Rica which is bold and intense MYR 71.90 from Speedmart while buying bread and he went to buy chapfan dinner for the Elderlies.

5.46 pm - his dinner from a pack of pork mihun soup where he didn't eat any mihun. Just ate the ingredients and drank the soup.

Xmas Photo Booth

On Friday 2.dec.2022, went to Midvalley Mall again.

1.23 pm - a very nice Xmas photo booth for family portraits.

1.08 pm - the avocado promo MYR 14.90 is still on at Jaya Grocer so bought one pack of 3 ripe avocados.

1.20 pm - Xmas desserts and Confectionery at Jaya Grocer. I am having difficulty deciding which ones to buy for my sweet tooth.

12.14 noon - vegetables oolong tea soup:

I kept the rice and glutinous sesame rice balls to bring home for the next day because I need to eat his noodles.

12.20 noon - chicken leg noodles in herbal soup. He ate as little carb as possible from this set lunch.

12.46 noon - this is a lot of noodles. The texture is similar to thin pan Mee but is a bit QQ springy. I ate it all for him.

P/S: I received a comment that says I must have enjoyed the noodles to be able to finish it all. Just want to be clear here that this Noodle is edible so I ate it all because I don't waste edible food. Not because eating a lot of noodles is something that I enjoy doing. Just one mouthful is ok, not this whole big bowl.

Water Heater

On Thursday 1.dec.2022, the Elderlies' instant water heater shower broke down - the water is not hot even though the light is on so bought a new sharp water heater at MYR 280 for them and the shop recommended a person to install it for MYR 130 nett. In the morning, he went over and fed the elderly one whole avocado because of shaking hands, it is difficult to scoop the avocado so he has to do it.

Then buy chapfan lunch for the Elderlies and himself from Golden Chopstick coffee shop. In the evening, went over again to facilitate the installation of the new water heater.

*** Thursday 1.dec.2022 ***

11.25 am - 3 packs of chapfan lunch from Golden Chopstick coffee shop.

4.26 pm - my portion of avocado he kept for me from his breakfast.

4.41 pm - I bought a bag of cauliflower and broccoli MYR 6 from 126 Kopitiam coffee shop and a pack of cashew nuts MYR 8 ish from Speedmart.

4.58 pm - I finished up the remaining rice from the Lei Cha bought on Monday.

5.15 pm - his dinner of salmon, egg and bread after he got back.

5.15 pm - my piece of salmon eaten with bread. Bought pieces of salmon are bought on Tuesday.

4.54 pm - bought two pieces of salmon Shioyaki from Ginza Sushi via Foodpanda and kept them in the fridge.
