DeleteI could imagine the torture to endure the salty ckt. I think nowadays the local eateries tend to overdo with seasonings & salt to make the food flavorful. When I tried similar fried hor fun/kuey teow elsewhere outside M'sia, they don't taste as heavy/salty/flavorful like ours.

DeleteThong Kee's CKT is quite famous. Perhaps they accidentally put too much salt? Since it was a dine-in you could have requested them to check and change the dish.
ReplyDeleteHow do you expect them to check? Some people have high tolerance for saltiness so they could say that I have low tolerance for saltiness then how?
DeleteI know elderly people on certain medications cannot taste saltiness that well so when they cook they will put more salt because they couldn't taste it. To them the food taste is perfect.
