Too salty ckt

On Thursday 18.june.2026, I woke up at 2.30 am so at 6.48 am, we went to Thong Kee Sri Petaling which opens at 7 am. But when we reached there at a little after 7 am, we still had to queue and wait for seats but just a short wait compared to reaching there at 7.30 am.

*** Thong Kee Sri Petaling ***

7.06 am - chicken thigh, prawns hor fun soup MYR 14 nett.

7.12 am - he didn't want to eat fried chicken but curry chicken is not ready yet so he didn't order nasi lemak but ordered TK style char Kueh teow MYR 9.50+ which was very salty making it difficult to eat but I swallowed everything on the ckt plate and completed my meals for today.

He also ordered the usual soft boiled eggs MYR 3.60+, kaya butter toasts MYR 3.20+ and instead of cham, he chose hot white coffee less sugar this time MYR 4.20+ but the white coffee tastes like 3-in-1 premixed white coffee which is very sweet so I didn't drink much of it.

I also don't know why ah buuiii 🐈‍⬛ hangs on to the light switch by both front paws 😅 I saw 🐈‍⬛ doing it twice in front of me. 😂
The light switch is 5 feet from the ground and 🐈‍⬛ just jumps up and hangs on by both front paws holding the light switch with legs straight high up from the floor making me 😂 🤣

Morning 44.65
Next morning 44.20
Removed 450g water because I completed my meals very early at 9 am after eating that very salty ckt.

This AI is very productive. It voluntarily created two versions for my spouse to choose after they have discussed all the details to be included 😂
So instead of discarding the version not selected, I am adding it in.

  3. I could imagine the torture to endure the salty ckt. I think nowadays the local eateries tend to overdo with seasonings & salt to make the food flavorful. When I tried similar fried hor fun/kuey teow elsewhere outside M'sia, they don't taste as heavy/salty/flavorful like ours.

    1. You are absolutely right. People here mostly like to eat heavy flavours food.

  4. Thong Kee's CKT is quite famous. Perhaps they accidentally put too much salt? Since it was a dine-in you could have requested them to check and change the dish.

    1. How do you expect them to check? Some people have high tolerance for saltiness so they could say that I have low tolerance for saltiness then how?
I know elderly people on certain medications cannot taste saltiness that well so when they cook they will put more salt because they couldn't taste it. To them the food taste is perfect.
