*** Hock Kee Heritage The Gardens Mall ***
We have been to the bangsar south branch twice so when it held the soft opening for the new branch in Midvalley Mall on Thursday 23.april.2026, we went there on Sunday.
There is a choice of 1 piece of Jumbo Prawn MYR 6++ or more than 1 tiger prawns and I chose one piece of Jumbo Prawn so total is MYR 35.90++
10.58 am - the two halves of prawn meat are firm and tasty. The gravy is light creamy without strong cheese taste but with very fragrant deep fried curry leaves and prawn taste so I like the overall taste. The mihun is soft and just the right portion for a small eater so I ate this whole dish myself as he doesn't eat cheese or cream.
10.31 am - I also ordered:
10.44 am - I ate a bit of each and took the remaining portions home in my trusted home container.
10.30 am - my favourite drink: iced red bean matcha latte MYR 15.90++
10.27 am - he ordered signature lontong with deep fried boneless chicken meat MYR 18.90++
10.29 am - his hot coffee O with no sugar MYR 5.50++
9.17 am - hock kee heritage is located at a nice and bright location within the mall.
8.52 am - while waiting for hock kee to open at 10 am, he ate toast with soft boiled eggs MYR 6.90++ and a cup of hot stevia white coffee ☕ MYR 8.90++ which I didn't eat or drink at all because I am saving tummy space for the food at hock kee. Total MYR 19.50 nett.
2.10 pm - deep fried chicken boneless cubes meat coated with 5 spice powder MYR 12.90+
2.15 pm - the peach gum pear snow fungus dish is not available so we ordered:
3.31 pm - jgro: 6 plums 9.9 blueberries 6.9
One taro egg tart MYR 6.80++ which is a basic Portuguese egg tart with a swirl of taro paste toppings.
One curry potato egg tart MYR 6.20++ which is Portuguese egg tart with curry potatoes cubes mixed in it, buttery, sweet and savoury. This egg tart blew my mind with these 4 tastes: buttery, curry spice taste, sweet and savoury all mixed together 😂
The matcha is authentic pure matcha powder taste so it is not sweet
The latte milk is also not sweet
The red bean gives this drink a bit of sweetness as the red bean is cooked with sugar so this drink is only mildly sweet.
The gravy tastes good, full of fish meat taste.
I ate the egg from his plate as he has already eaten soft boiled eggs at Rich kopitiam earlier.
I took the remaining 6 cubes of compressed rice home.
Total MYR 95.20 nett after 8% promo discount for using a certain payment method.

After his breakfast, we went to the car to take the preloved steering wheel to trade it in before eating at hock Kee.
