Grandpa HK Cart Noodle

On Sunday 15.dec.2024, went to midvalley mall to pass things to someone near cu at around 10.29 am to 10.46 am.

Eateries visited today:

1. Nanyang cafe midvalley mall

This soft opening for this new eatery is on 10.dec.2024 and I suspect that it has the same owners as Sin Man Kee which is next door to it. 

It has a very flexible menu where customers can customise their own bowls of noodles or rice with any ingredients that they want including no noodles no rice and no gravy.

11.37 am - this is what I get when I chose dry, no noodles, no gravy, beef, egg and mushrooms. There are 4 pieces of beef for MYR 8 nett if I remember the price correctly.

11.36 am - I select meal plus drink so I chose luo hon go drink.

11.33 am - my selection: no noodles no sauce aka gravy MYR 15 nett.

11.34 am - his meal plus barley drink

11.33 am - his selection MYR 17.50 nett

11.35 am - interior 

12.27 noon - it is located between bananabro and sin man kee

At 9.30 am, we were surprised to see that it was nearly full house.

9.34 am - the staff says to wait 7 mins for the soft boiled eggs. we always order these 4 items MYR:

1. Soft boiled eggs 4.5++

2. Hot Nanyang coffee 7.9++

3. Prawns wanton soup no noodles 14.9++

4. Trotters noodles 18.9++

Total MYR 53.60 nett 

9.46 am - 7 mins are too long, the egg yolks are nearly fully cooked.

1.32 pm - we like this curry chicken noodles MYR 10 nett because it has lemongrass taste and the beansprouts are crunchy and plump. Also ordered 2x MYR 3.30 nett champing drink.

*** Kontea herbal jelly ***

3.56 pm - I ate one full tub
