On Sunday 1.dec.2024, we decided to go and eat lard rice at an eatery that he found online when searching for lard rice because when I talked about lard rice, he says he hasn't eaten an authentic lard rice before. The eatery is called Ming Mom at Mega Mendung OUG. It opens at 11 am but we went there early at 10.30 am and ate a bit of food at a nearby coffee shop before eating the lard rice.

*** Light Meal before Brunch ***
10.46 am - siew yuk MYR 10 nett. Hot cham MYR 2.50 nett. He bought chapfan no rice with 3 dishes: bitter gourd, broccoli and minced meat MYR 5 nett and I ate some of the broccoli.
11.05 am - the white corner building is the chapfan coffee shop.

2. Egg tart MYR 3.90+ with crispy layered puff pastry and light egg custard fillings so is a joy to eat.
To share:
1. Snow fungus stewed pear MYR 12.90+
Not too sweet. The pear is a bit tart so is very tasty as it is not too sweet
11.20 am - basic pork lard rice to share with pickled gourd. Lots of crispy ju Yao zhar on top of the rice.
11.22 am - ala carte dishes:
1. Crispy pork chop MYR 15.90+
Tender inside and crispy coatings
2. Red bean curd fried pork ribs MYR 16.90+
Quite boney but the nam yue marinate tastes good 😋
11.25 am - bring half rice and pork home for his early dinner which he ate all at 3.34 pm.
11.57 am - half a pear for me
12.09 noon - total price is MYR 78.50 nett.
