After the blood test, he and the elderly grab to Ken ki Taman midah coffee shop to have brunch and then grab back around 10 am. After that, we grab MYR 13 nett to Petaling Street and had a local cuti cuti as we haven't been there for 3 or 4 years and visited the places below:
1. Kwai Chai Hong 11.26 am
2. Ho Kow Hainan Kopitiam, see the long queue only
3. Crispy Pork Noodles Soup to eat Babi Guling dish
4. RexKL
5. Petaling Street
6. Merchants Lane to eat desserts
7. Bunn Choon to buy pastries
8. Beryl to buy dark chocolate
9. MRT Pasar Seni to Naga Mas MYR 3.7 x 2 and walked home to burn off the calories. Around 1100 m. Was back at 3 pm. A very nice sightseeing and food short trip. 11.30 am to 3 pm, 3.5 hours only.
*** Babi Guling ***
These two dishes are the best sellers. Online reviews say that the pork rinds are crispy even when bought via food delivery services.
11.46 am - Also ordered a plate of deep fried pork rinds. Very crispy and light. The soup has light peppery taste and garlic taste. The glass noodles are QQ springy.
*** Merchants Lane ***
1.15 pm - I ordered pandan pancakes dessert with two drinks. After this dessert, my food for this day is completed so I didn't eat anything else after that before calling it a day.
1.23 pm - Hot lemon grass ginger tea and cold jasmine tea long black coffee.
1.54 pm - Total price is MYR 62.64 nett.
3.54 pm - 6.4 mmol/l after 2 hours.
4.31 pm - He ate some of them as I couldn't eat any more. Too full. The century egg ginger pastry is very tasty 🤤😋 I can tell by just the aromatic smell of the ginger.
1.59 pm - The pastry counter at Bunn Choon. They also serves dine-in dim sum. He would have preferred to dine in here for the egg tarts instead of Merchants Lane.
9.09 am - His ckt and the elderly's pork mihun.
9.33 am - His remaining ckt which I would have eaten if I was there.
*** Status ***
The elderly reading before breakfast is 14.7 mmol/l so need to resume to eat 30 mg gliclazide under brand name diamicron.
Wah...I wish I could eat babi guling! But these days I don't venture out to KL, I also like your pandan pancake dessert. Does your hubby like plants, since he took photos for the greenery.
ReplyDeleteYes, he does like plants. You could order food delivery for babi guling. Online reviews say the skin is still very crispy when delivered to their places.
Deletenice short outing to Petaling Street. Now i feel like wanting to go there to try out babi guling.
ReplyDeleteYa ya, please go try. They are closed one day a week. The meat in the glass noodles soup is very tasty. 😋
DeleteOo I was actually just inside Merchant's Lane itself. But left coz the menu was mostly solid food and I was looking for waffles anyway.
ReplyDeleteAh, were you with SE and JE, that's why looking for waffles? This pancakes dessert is tasty too. Babi Guling does not interest you, does it?
