Mix No Rice

I ate this plate of mixed rice dishes with no rice at the Food Republic food court in Pavilion Mall. A big piece of Mackerel fish (tenggiri), potatoes wedges, and bitter gourd. Guess how much this lunch costs?

This is the stall I bought the lunch from. Can you see the name of the stall?

This is how much it costs - Mackerel fish - MYR 13.90 nett, Bitter gourd - MYR 3.50 nett and sambal potato wedges - MYR 3.50 nett. Total is MYR 20.90 nett.

  1. I loved the Indonesian nasi padang in Singapore before. These days, a lot of people are going without rice, noodles...no crabs. I believe that is what they call the Keto Diet.

    1. The ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares many similarities with the Atkins and low-carb diets. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis.

I still eat a lot of carbs in the form of potatoes, cakes and bread. Just don't like to eat rice.

    1. When you are buying there no need to guess because they listed the price clearly on the board for each dish.

  4. Wahhhhhh

    But then again, it's Pavillion.

Lunch at Sogo also doesn't come cheap. A piece of fish is about RM8.90 the last time I went there.

  5. That is a very expensive mixed rice but to be expected since it's in a posh area. I am taking some carbs now, so I would definitely go for the sambal potato wedges hee..hee...
