WG Kacangma Chicken

I ate this Kacangma Chicken with rice at Aunty Christina eatery in Seapark, PJ.  Quite a large portion at MYR 10.60 nett so I kept half for dinner. I like the taste of Kacangma (益母草 aka Chinese Motherwort) and the strong taste of wine. I will eat this again. The taste of wine is much stronger than the one I ate at Zun Express.

This is the amount I kept for my dinner.

I prefer to eat this without rice but then the price is more expensive at MYR 16 nett because I think they give more soup and chicken for the "K2 - Soup Only" option.

We went there again because my friend wanted to eat the Kacangma chicken and rice dish. My choice this time is Dry Curry Chicken Kolo Mee at MYR 7.50 nett. There are about 3 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of potatoes. The curry is rich but not too spicy.

I kept half of the kolo mee for dinner. The kolo mee has a very nice texture - firm yet easy to chew. I will have this dish again.

Price for 2 pax: MYR 18.10 nett. The address is 20, Jalan 21/19 Sea Park, PJ.

They open from 8 am to 3 pm and all prices stated on the menu are nett prices.

I like to order the pumpkin barley drink (cold) at MYR 2.60 nett when I am thirsty. Only slightly sweet.

  3. Oh. So this place you could taste some Sarawak specialty dishes. I love kacangma. Being a Hakka, I had this every week when I were young. Mum loves it too but she wouldn't add too much rice white. Too heart for young children but she added more when we had our monthly "aunty" time.

Long time I didn't cook it at home. My man likes it too.

Dry curry. I like that too but I seldom order dry chicken curry kolo mee as I still prefer rice or big yellow noodle to go with my curry.

    1. I believe Aunty Christina is from Sarawak. She is a nice lady and we often see her at her shop. I think all noodles go well with dry curry though I have not eaten yee mee with dry curry before.

  4. Yey! A kacang ma topic.

As much as i love kacang ma, i'm still very picky about it coz there are ways of preparing kacang ma i prefere.
    A. It must have chicken thigh or drumstick with the skin and fat on.
    B. Only moderate amount of white wine inside.
    C. Lots of soup.

And i thought kolo mee can be found in Sarawak only. Silly me. Hahahahahahaha.

  5. Aunty Christina's very famous yet I have not dined there as we don't usually frequent Seapark. I need to get my hubby to bring me here as I want to try that kacangma dish.
