The correct one

This is the 3 colours dumpling soup that I have eaten before and wanted to order again when I wrote the wrong number and got the dry ones instead. Their prices are the same MYR10.90+ 6% GST = about MYR11.60 so the soup gives better value because it has vegetables too.

The dry ones which I ordered wrongly

  1. I don't mind them dry...or in clear soup, if it is in an air conditioned place. So hot these days, too hot for piping hot soupy delights.

  2. I actually prefer dry ones.. Reminds me of pan fried dumplings, and I can dip them into mayo..

    1. These ones are just steamed, not pan fried.

  4. So did you prefer these? They don't look much different from the dry ones actually.

    1. Of course I prefer the one in soup. They are exactly the same except that the dry ones are drier and there are vegetables in the soup.

  5. I prefer the dry ones because I am not much of a soup person.

    1. You don't have to drink the soup. I don't drink the soup but I will eat the vegetables in the soup. The dry ones are too dry and they are just steamed, not pan grilled.

    2. I eat all the 3 versions! Just had soup one last night at Sg Besi area. Many people said their Wan Tan Mee is the best in KL. They only operate at night when the car accessory shop has closed for the day.

    3. I know of the place you are talking about. Their wan tan mee is more to chun dan mee (whole egg noodle).

    1. The dumplings are the same but cooked differently, the dry ones are steamed whereas the wet ones are boiled in soup so they taste the same. Just that the steamed ones have dry skins.
