Eating Leisurely

We needed a quiet place to chat and McD was beckoning so we ate breakfast there - something that I seldom do.

A fish fillet, hash brown, coffee breakfast set - MYR9.85 nett and ala carte pancakes - MYR5.45 nett

With covers off

Thin pancakes. They called it hotcakes here, served with butter and honey. Quite ok but I can easily make better ones at home so that is why I have never bought them from McD until this time.

An indulgence indeed - look at that price for 2 thin hotcakes.

I kept the Fish Burger and ate it at home for dinner.

  1. Have not been to McD for years and years - last time was probably at KLIA - sending my girl off to NZ for her further studies, had the prosperity burger.

Gosh!!! You are such a light eater. I wouldn't be able to save the fish burger for dinner. All in, would be just right for my breakfast. Bigger car, bigger petrol tank. LOL!!!

    1. I guess you have grown out of them now that you are baking such delicious cakes and other dishes.

  7. I have also lost interest in McDonalds. Nowadays I like eating at Burger King, the Whopper meal is the only thing I'll order. It tastes better than Big Mac (to me). I've always liked Hungry Jack/Burger King coz their beef is grilled. I suspect they also put in a lot of fake BBQ "smokiness" which is what makes it taste so good but it's actually an artificial flavor. Haha.

    1. I want to buy this artificial smokiness flavour because I like the taste of smokiness without the charred bits. No Hungry Jack here but I have seen them in Melbourne airport. I like to eat Whoppers too but only Junior Whoppers because it is cheaper.

  8. Agree, the hotcakes seem overpriced. I like the refillable coffee though.

  9. Recently I have been a regular to McD on weekends to use the newly opened Coin Operated laundry services nearby before my maid comes to iron. So I have been snacking there and their cheapo coffee is cheap cos lower grade! LOL
    I must try this pancakes!

    1. So McD is your hangout place while your clothes are being washed. How come you don't wash your clothes at home?
