Soft cookies

After my post about this expensive cookie, I was told that Subway has cookies too so I went to buy some to try because I like soft cookies although I know they won't be as nice as those baked by PH and RG.

One for MYR1.7 but three for MYR4.5++ (MYR4.75) so I bought three to share with my family.

I think this is a Macadamia Nut Cookie

This should be a Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

This one is most probably a Chocolate Chip Cookie

Verdict: they sure are soft so I like them but not their degree of sweetness because they are way too sweet for me and my family can't eat more than one tiny piece each so I had to finish them myself. Don't think I will buy them again unless PH and RG start to bake more soft cookies like this and I can't help myself. :)

  1. one glance looks like the peanut butter & jam cookies that RealGunners bake! I seldom buy cookies coz most of the time they are too sweet by my standard (I can't even accept the sweetness level of Chipsmore choc chip). My family are same too, they will keep on nagging/complaining if i bought sweet stuffs :-(
Homemade cookies are the best coz i get to adjust the flavor & sugar level in it, but wait till i have a kitchen first! haha!

  5. I like cookies, but not overly sweet too. I actually like them to be a bit chewy rather than soft.

  6. I love soft cookies but granted, I have only ever tried those from Famous Amos. All of the above cookies looks really good though. Too bad that they're too sweet.

  10. Strange! Is it just the Penang outlets? I had Subway here a couple of times, the cookies that they have looks like these, but they are hard and crunchy like Chipsmore. I had them twice then after that I always go for the chips instead :/

    1. Do all outlets in Penang serve crunchy cookies instead of soft ones? I think you need to confirm this by eating Subway cookies in KL. :)

  11. I have never tried the Subway cookies. Since you said they are soft, I will pass because I prefer crunchy cookies. Also because you mentioned they are too sweet. American style I guess, equal amounts of sugar to flour which is very scary to me. Thanks for the mention, by the way :)

    1. Since you bake better cookies, another reason not to try this one.

  13. Whenever I eat Subway sandwiches that come in a set, I always ask them to keep their cookie...no point wasting if I don't eat them.

    1. Good that you asked them to keep their cookies. No need to waste.

  17. I rather like the macademia one. Take small bites to counter the sweetness. :p
