McD Blueberry Pie

My friend wanted a fast food fix for lunch so I accompanied her to McD with the intention of buying one single cheese burger at MYR3 for myself and so I did. Then I saw the poster - Blueberry Pie and I thought of Nux V and I could not help myself but to order one to try knowing full well what I thought of McD Taro Pie.

Blueberry Pie - MYR2.50++ = MYR2.65

It is like eating concentrated ribena jelly / jam (I know ribena is blackcurrant and not blueberry) and I am not used to it but I finish eating it. Surprisingly it is not cloying though it is sweet. Anyone here tried this before? Like it or Hate it?

  3. New one? Used to go for their apple pie, then I got tired of it. Been ages since I dropped by McD.

  4. Another new flavor? Don't think I've seen it before. Maybe I could give it a try, since I like Ribena..

  8. Oh, new flavour? I've only eaten apple and banana pie...all too sweet for me. Banana pie is still tolerable but not apple. They used to give me the apple pie for free (with RM20 spending and a McD sticker on my car) and it always ended up in the trash bin. I know I shouldn't be wasteful but no-one in my family wants it. After a while, I would just ask what's my free item and if it's apple pie, I told them I don't want it.

    1. I have never tried the banana pie before. Wah, so sayang, I used to like eating their apple pies. Good that you turn them down now, no need to throw away.

    1. I believe the taste changed already because I used to like the apple pies but now when I eat it, I feel it is too oily for me.

  10. u saw the McD pie and u thought of me? lol!
    Blueberry pie is new item on the menu? A pie that taste like ribena, that's really kinda weird. I prefer ribena in drinks but not in pie. I tink i will still prefer the taro pie ;-)

    1. I assume that they are children and it seems that children love to eat McD.

    1. Oh, you like this deep purple!? Some may be frightened by the deep colour. I think you need to try the taro pie to know whether you like it or not, lol!

  14. hmmm, seldom buy their pie because like you say, can be quite cloying at times.. usually i'd just go for the McValue set, if i am in a crave for desserts, i'd get their sundae instead..

    p/s: i miss the red bean pie i once had in HK..

  15. Tried this before, ok lah. No blueberry taste but then again, blueberries don't have distinctive taste anyway.
