Barcook

A new eatery in the Gardens Mall lower ground floor. Barcook from Singapore.

It is a bakery. I have not bought any items from them yet. Seems like one of their signature product is the raisin cream bun.

    1. I did walk one round inside but didn't buy anything because all the items in bakeries look somewhat alike to me.

    1. Went in to look only. For the price of one bun, I could almost eat a plate of chap fan.

  4. From Singapore ah... if it is famous in Singapore and they maintain the same taste, probably you will be only one of a handful here who would love their food. :/

    1. But normal stuffs in good quality bakeries all taste roughly the same right?

    2. The thing is Malaysians and Singaporeans judge "good quality" differently when it comes to food. What we say is nice, they say is "too salty/sweet/spicy", what they say is nice, we say is bland.

I'm not saying Singaporean food (bread is considered food) sucks, I'm saying they are different and probably most of us cannot appreciate that difference. :/

    3. I think they will adjust the taste to this local market.

  5. how come no people inside the shop one? I dare not go in when I see a shop has no patron...coz I felt like 'all eyes on me' the moment I walked in.

  6. I will definite drop by on my next visit. I always like to look see and try new things. I have doubt that bakeries with cafe can survive well in Malaysia. Our eating culture is different.
